That is what I call winning the lottery of life. What doesn't she have? Absolutely, off the charts gorgeous and talented. She has suffered a lot of hardships in the last decade or so, but I think she is back. I have always adored her because aside from her obvious outside beauty, every interview I have heard her do shows that she is also beautiful on the inside. She also put her career on hold to raise them. She had either left home or was about to when her adoptive parents were killed in the car accident. She stopped chasing her dream to raise them, something that I believe really shows her character. She also stopped singing because she lost her voice after getting Lyme disease from a tick-had to have her voice box rebuilt. Also her husband cheated with her personal assistant-and she ended up marrying her PA’s ex-husband. But she is an amazing talent and was on top of the pop and country charts for quite a long time. She is definitely a legend and was huge for a long time. Her husband at the time was Mutt so if you’re hearing a rock ‘n’ roll edge you can thank him. At the peak of her popularity, she hung it up and moved to Europe with her husband. Her husband screwed her over and left her for a best friend. She stopped performing for a very long time.

I remember in a documentary about Shania that when she came out as Country performer, she was like "I want to be a Country singer, but I want to be (like) The Beatles!! And she was!! She is still the most successful female country artist of all time!! And this song was from back in 1997!! She really opened the door for Country to be "rock" and for later artists like Taylor Swift, etc. Shania is, was, and always will be amazing!! It was so cool watching your reactions to her!! You both were stunned and mesmerized and didn't even hit pause. You wanted to hear her. Also, note that her video was a fun play on Robert Palmers "Addicted to Love" that had come out years earlier.

This video is from 1997, when Shania OWNED country music. The album, Come On Over was the best selling country album of all time. She got a lot of backlash from some country fans though for her sexuality and women’s empowerment message-which very few women were doing. . Also, a little trivia-Shania had the same producer as Def Leppard, Mutt Lange, who she eventually married and then divorced. Mutt Lange is a genius. Just saying.

Love Shania Twain. Her album “Come on Over” was the first album I ever bought and didn’t feel ripped off because I could listen to it from beginning to end enjoying every song. This is the person with the help of her ex husband Mutt Lang took over country music and brought it into a current era. I remember when her exposing her midriff was controversial in country. They even tried to say her voice was a production of Mutts and she proved them all wrong and made them eat there words. Enjoying the content, keep up the great reactions

Honestly, one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Great voice that's also flexible between genres. Writes many of her own songs. I met Shania back in the late 90's, she was just starting out and checked in all by herself into the hotel I was the evening manager at, she was performing at the yearly rodeo in town I think. I carried her luggage to her room and told her I was a big fan (not true) and she gave me a hug :). She was so sweet.

She was huge in the mid/late 90's, country. She made a lot of the country music community upset with her short skirts and half shirts. (Mostly just the older folks. The younger crowd loved it). She definitely made country music more "pop" and what's it has grown into today.

Before Shania, there was never a female country singer that was this much "pop star sexy" before her. She was young and hot and before her, female country singers had a more conservative old fashioned style.

I remember when this video was getting major play on CMT. I was driving long-haul for a living. I'd be sitting in a truckstop eating my dinner, and this would come on the TVs scattered around. All noise stopped. No food was eaten. Every eye was riveted on the screen. Shania Twain and Faith Hill were the crossover queens. Gorgeous, gifted, and glamorous. We were all a little bit in love.

Shania Twain was 🔥🔥🔥 for about 10-ish years in Country music and then she took a leave from music for a while and didn’t really come back to music until a few years ago. She was at the top when I was a teenager. This music video and Faith Hill’s Breathe were some personal favorites for a adolescent teenage boy with raging hormones, if you know what I mean 😉. Need to check out Reba McEntire’s Fancy, Faith Hill’s Breathe and Martina McBride’s Independence Day for a real taste of some powerhouse female Country music singers.
