I think I met him back in 1974 or 1975 at Ft Polk, La. I recall a young soldier who had performed for soldiers and officers. The General took him to the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. I have been trying to determine if I met young George. I am 72 next month. So we are the same age.

One of the best!!! The movie was really sweet. What I found interesting when that movie came out was the fact that George told the director that he would not kiss the leading lady. He loves his wife so much that he refused to kiss another woman. That made me like him even more. So if you watch the movie you will see that he never kissed the leading lady, he did hug her though.
