Slade were famous for their, 'wall of sound', that basically surrounded you with music. Always a, 'happy/having fun', band who never took themselves seriously. Run Runaway was one of the songs from their revival period in the 80's. Their original, bigger era was in the early to mid 70's. Classics, such as:- Skweeze Me Pleeze Me Take Me Bak 'Ome Look Wot You Dun Cum On Feel The Noize My Friend Stan Coz I Luv You Mama Weer All Crazee Now Everyday Far, Far Away

Ambrose Slade were one of the first skinhead bands, they then shortened their name to Slade became part of the glam rock era in the early seventies. Ive been a big fan from when i was 10 in the glam years, but i never got to see them live until the early 1980's. At the time they were one of the loudest bands in the world (official). Fun Rockers.

They weren't really a 'skinhead' band, that was a bs management experiment, which the guys in the band hated! They were pure rockers, always were, always will be!!
