Wasn’t advocating for or against Dolly in the RRHoF but the fact remains she’s in kinda pointless to argue that. If memory serves me Dolly tried to decline saying exactly that, “I’m not a rock singer” but was lobbied by fans and other RRHoF members to accept and changes her mind and did. Bottom line of my comment was Linda had certainly sung much more country material than Dolly has Rock so if Dolly is in Rock (and she certainly is) then Linda deserves recognition in Country HoF

They did other duets together I believe 3 of them all just as amazing as this one. She also did a duet with Smokey Robinson singing this song and I got to say that it was so awesome I believe they performed it on a show maybe it was an music awards show if you don’t believe me then check it out for yourself and believe me it will be worth the time it takes

Willie Nelson said it best talking about Linda he said “There are two kinds of men in this world, those that have a crush on Linda Ronstadt and those who have never heard of her” I proudly take my place in the first category. A completely beautiful lady inside and out and the best female voice of at least one generation probably more. Please keep going you still have genres you haven’t touched on. Her three Albums of Classic American Songbook selections with orchestra leader Nelson Riddle need your attention starting with What’s New. Her operatic performance in The Pirates of Penzance (Poor Wandering One) is the song. I think her best duet, Somewhere Out There with James Ingram and you still have plenty of Rockin Linda like 1974s Silver Threads and Golden Needles.

She has done opera. And I'm pretty sure I've seen comments and requests for you to react to her singing the 'big band sound' with Nelson Riddle. "What's New" would be a perfect start. However, still would love for you to react to Linda's version of "Tumbling Dice". I know you've already done the Stones reaction. But, as has been mentioned, even Mick Jagger fell in love with Linda's version. Even rewriting some of the lyrics specifically for her (from a female perspective).

In the album version Linda hits high notes in the end. Linda did indeed sing in one opera, La Boheme, by Puccini. She used to see operas at the San Francisco Opera. She also sang in the film version of Pirates of Penzance, an operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan. Indeed, Linda can and does sing everything.I recommend reading her autobiography in which she wrote a lot about music and singing. Some folks object to white artists singing songs written by Black artists. Smokey Robinson doesn't object at all. He said it was the greatest compliment when performers sing his songs.
