Oh my. I love what that spray does! I have been obsessed with using the gelli plate to make the old walls I've seen while traveling. Salmon & ochre Moroccan, Jaipur pink, "San Miguel colors." Ironically if that happened to the walls in my house, I'd be very upset. LOL. But it's gorgeous on paper, and on buildings where it's supposed to be like that.

For mat framing, Use a larger one and then cut it at top left and bottom right, so that you can adjust the size to what ever you need. I use a neutral grey one so that it can help with lights and darks.

I am in the process of designing my own script stencils/printables with both Oriental style and stacked journaling, as well as some miscellaneous large background stencils - a lot of work on Inkscape but well worth it! I am new to gel printing and just love the effects that you and Froyle are getting with this exciting method. New subscriber!

Hi Robyn, can you give some details on the dimensions of the mat board you are using. When I look online it seems the mats for smaller sizes are quite narrow. For instance for a 4x6 opening they are 5x7 giving only 1/2” around. Yours seems to have about a 5x7 opening (based on using it with small stencils) but those mats seem to be 8x10 overall. Yours seems smaller than 8x10. I like the wider borders like you are using.

Tim Holtz - Ranger Tim Holtz-Distress Oxide Spray-Crackling Campfire, 2 oz Now the Stainz you can only get from Patty's etsy but you can still experiment without the stainz the results are still stunning I hope this helps xo
