I am redoing my studio and seeking inspiration. I love that your space is not entirely engulfed in plastic drawers and tubs. The display elements make your space a work of art...very inspirational.

Oh gosh Robin, what an amazing studio/office. Just love it! I mean even your drawers are laid out so orderly and like pieces of art displays themselves! Thank you for this share.

On wow. What a beautiful inspiring space. My mother kept her art materials in that exact wicker suitcase. She called it her studio and when she opened it up it seemed to expand out magically. Or perhaps that was my imagination. Art is magic after all. She would have loved your work. A lovely .memory evoked for me. 💚I💚 Your studio is a fitting environment for the amazing artwork that you do. Thanks for the glimpse.

I also have baskets. I love them because they have pockets in the lids. Some of them have leather buckle straps. It is also fun to make cases out of old large book covers. All that's needed is to enclose the sides and the front cover works as the lid. They can be decorated with mixed media and make very unusual storage solutions. I love your art and your studio!

I’ve never thought of using leather wallets to create book structures. Brilliant use and so easy to find at thrift stores!

Those wicker suitcases bring back a memory for me. Trying to remember when I had one. I believe it held my very first collection of cassette tapes! Love the Ikea sets of big wide drawers. Wish I had a place for even one of those. And that Chinese brush! You could almost cuddle with that at night. Amazing to tour your creative fodder, Robyn. So inspiring.

Thanks for the tour! What an inspiration! I have a dedicated sewing room that I don't like to do messy art projects in, so I've started taking over the corner of the living room for painting, printing, and paper. I think you've given me a few ideas I can use in my little space.
@RobynMcClendon5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Elizabeth! My studio has gone through many iterations for some of the same reasons you've shared...lol It can take some time to figure what works best for our art rooms. I love looking at other artists spaces, I get some of my ideas that way, plus I think I'm a little nosey like that :) So I was hoping that I'd inspire many of my fellow artists here in similar ways...Thanks!

Hey Robyn, Thanks for the fun tour of your space. I know you posted this video a while back but I have a question concerning your printer. Do you print on card-stock, watercolor paper, think paper if yes, does it work well with them? Thanks!

Hi Robyn, what a fab tour that was, seriously pinching you picnic basket idea, lol. Can you please give me the exact description of your printer , I’m in line for a new one. Thanks a million! ps - I’m still very sad that I was unable to take on the French tour, have a wonderful time!

Hi Gay, there will be other tours I trust that right timing will occur :) Yes on the picnic baskets! they're the best :) It's a HP Envy 5660 here's a link so that you can take a look at it, make sure you get the HP Instant Ink not Amazon's Dash Replenshment...Thx

Hi there, in an earlier comment on a different video I mentioned I wasn’t into art journaling. After seeing your studio and all the wonderful ephemera and papers and all that maybe I should make art journaling my jam! The tour was very inspiring! I know this video is a year old but you mentioned purge packets. What are those? Thx Christine Andersen

I have space but I don’t love it. Feel overwhelmed by trying to make it functional and soul-supportive .
@RobynMcClendon5 жыл бұрын
Hi Karla, one suggestion is just take a corner of your space maybe just get a bookcase like the one I have I got that black one at Ikea it was $20 and fill that with all the things you love! Shop your home :) and then mix some of you art supplies in. That will give you a focal point to draw inspiration from and feed your soul! Thanks for you sharing!
