Love the technique and use of alcohol for blooms and the subtle backgrounds as a base. Disappointed that you put the calligraphy on its side, and if not mistaken, the edge piece was upside down. I know you needed the length, but just feel bad that the scripts were handled as they were. Would love to have some vintage metal pieces for the focal points. That one was really cool.

Just love these!! (Your bracelet reminds me of an Egyptian queen.) I've not tried alcohol ink on the gelli plate, but I use it with my acrylic paintings. Try putting alcohol in a spray bottle - you get tons of tiny stones. Too fun! Thank you for your generous shares. Your works are some of my all-time favorites!

What an amazing set of prints! I have to get out my supplies and try this out. I see that inverted triangle also as a very simple representation of a chalice that could carry the water. When I was very young and also as a young woman I lived in homes that had no running water and had the experience of carrying all the water used in the home from a spring or creek. Believe me, it is a rare moment that I turn a faucet on and do not feel blessed that such a precious thing is that easily acquired. Love your tutorials.

I absolutely love the idea of using the alcohol on the gelli plate! I love the watery color effect! Have you, or can you use alcohol inks on the plate? Or that stronger alcohol on it?
@RobynMcClendon3 жыл бұрын
I have used alcohol inks on the plate and they work similarly to this technique I'm not sure which stronger alcohol you're talking about if it's acetone I wouldn't use that it could mess up the Gelli plate....Take care!

Help! I just tried this acrylic, alcohol, painterly look and had a complete disaster! I have no idea what happened! I didn’t have liquid titanium white so used my Golden heavy body, maybe that was the problem. And I used the alcohol we had, which is 91% isopropyl. Maybe that was the wrong kind! And the quinacridone is also a nice Golden. But when I added the alcohol instead of ‘painterly’ my paints globbed and thickened, and are now so stuck on my plate water and soap wouldn’t take them off. Then I tried the applying a coat of paint to pull to clean, and ITS stuck! I have no idea what went wrong! Any ideas? How do I get all this off my Gelli plate? I’ve had this nice plate in great shape for over 8 years and have never had such a reaction! 😢

@liesbethoverdijk70833 жыл бұрын
Dear Robyn, what kind of alcohol do you use? Can't find it in the list. The stoning is not working very well, so may be it's the alcohol. Thank you.
@ReviewsAndMore92 жыл бұрын
You need the 90%.
@sandyfranklin11232 жыл бұрын
What level alcohol are you using? Is it just rubbing alcohol of 70% or the stronger 90% that alcohol artists are using on Yupo?

You’ll need to use the 90%.

I just purchased some of your printables, downloaded them and cannot locate where they are downloaded to. It isn’t in my download folder on my computer. Can you help? Sorry, sooooo not a techy.
@RobynMcClendon3 жыл бұрын
Hi Teresa, if they didn't go onto your desktop in your download folder, I'm not sure but you can go and download again, it's unlimited also try going into the printables and hit print try sending directly to your computer...hope that helps! One last thought if you have a Mac trying going up to that blue download arrow in the toolbar and see if they are there or if for some reason they didn't download properly....
