@MCCMCKnyte6 жыл бұрын
They were all real actors. They just had horrible direction. If you read Greg's book, he mentions how often the actors and production crew would try to offer suggestions to make scenes better and to "normalize" the dialog, so that it actually sounded like it came from humans, but Tommy would have none of it.
@willb14056 жыл бұрын
knyte6426 thank god for tommy
@razorbeard69704 жыл бұрын
@@MCCMCKnyte I wouldn't go any further than the script. There's no way you could direct a better movie with that script. The language syntax issues, largely unexplored plot devices, and flippant treatment of serious issues make it a disaster. If anything, the direction made it watchable.
@kenrickkahn4 жыл бұрын
You can tell they took acting classes.. it was just Tommy's horrible directing.. LoL!! It made for some great moments..
@razorbeard69704 жыл бұрын
@@kenrickkahn Tommy really didn't direct this movie. Shocking? No. Think about even The Disaster Artist movie. Wouldn't it have been great to see what his style was? Yeah, so would I. What we saw instead was Sandy Schklair performing the directing duties, The Disaster Artist book backs up this reality. Tommy definitely wrote, produced, and acted in this movie. He was largely absent for the moment to moment scene to scene creative decisions a director makes and was definitely not the leader on set by being hours late while requiring cast and crew to be on time. He also didn't direct the scenes he was in....which is most of the movie. Think about this: if Schklair hadn't assisted in doctoring the script, making it somewhat understandable while still not making logical sense, and directed the movie it wouldn't have been made at all, or worse, it would likely be an unwatchably bad movie.

@mrmusickhimself6 жыл бұрын
I'm psyched you're making it. In lesser hands, this could have been a cringy mess but I think you and the cast deserve a lot of credit for making it awesome. You're living my dream, I always wanted to be an actor/writer/director -- anything movie related. Alas I live in Meadowview Virginia, and don't have the cash to just pick up and move out west. I concentrate on my KZbin channel where I do film and game reviews, but my work ethic is admittedly awful. Even if that's as close as I come I'm grateful for every subscriber and kind comment I get, so it's better than nothing. Looking forward to more of these Robyn, very nice talking to you! Sorry for the essay lol.
