I have a full roccat setup. This headset the Kona remastered and the Vulcan pro tkl. Keyboard and mouse are great. Headset is average. But I’m a weird person that wants all my stuff the same brand.

I asked the manufacturer if they work with PS5 and any other console? This is there response:The ROCCAT SYN Pro Air feature set and functionality is optimized for PC gaming and offers an easy setup via USB. While wireless connectivity for game and chat audio with only the PS4/PS5 is achievable, some functions such as synchronized volume control and access to NEON software will not be available when connected to the console. Xbox is not compatible with the headset, because it requires security chips embedded in the model. The SYN Pro Air headset is also compatible with the Nintendo Switch in docked mode only, and allows chat audio with select titles.

Great review man! I use the Roccat mouse and keyboard so I’m excited to try these when they get here. I used the stealth gen 2 and they were so comfortable. It was just annoying having to use the app to do any settings adjustments (for me personally). Also they would cut out at times on pc for me. I always look forward to your reviews man. hello The Techne, can you say if the sound and the mic is better than the roccat elo air? because the leader on the elo air really stinks for me... and to be honest, the price is not that big of a deal and i want to stick with my full roccat setup, so IF the sound/mic is somewhat i will upgrade. btw i really liked the intro talk with the manager :D

i've had issues with every arctis headset we've owned. my 15 yr olds gone through probably 6 pairs in the last 2 years, and probably 10 cables (not sure if the pro is wireles or not. They sound great, and are comfy, but man they just dont last. i wish you luck on em, get em at best buy with the warranty!

@@alanismajere I'd not judge them on the care that a 15 year old gives to them. Plenty of my gaming buddies take care of theirs and they've had them for years.

@@dave93x I had bought 3 sets at once, one for me (i'm nearly 40), one for my 13 yr old and one for my 15 yr old. All of them broke. cables went first, then the speakers one by one. I just kept replacing them with best buys warranty. I take good care of my stuff. I still have some logitechs, audeze and senheizers that i've had for years without issues, along with external dacs, amps, etc... that i've spent thousands on. i'm a big audiophile and i'm super gentle with my personal gear. (figured i'd try a few gaming headsets, logitechs just werent comfy as why i moved over to the arctis, they were comfy, so were the astro a40s, and their still kicking just fine as well after 5 yrs).

@@alanismajere fair enough. What were the issues you've had with Arctis headphones? I've got my friends still using theirs almost every day and then you with this experience. I've heard they're fragile in other comment sections too, but then you have the overwhelming positive reviews. I'm waiting for the Arctis 7x to be back in stock at some point so I'm researching them quite a bit.

@@dave93x 9 outa 10 times the failures were always in the cables and replacement cables. The one that wasnt a cable issue, i tried multiple, the speaker just started popping in and out. could of been internal wiring of the ear cup or something. I dont mind arctis, and i love their stuff, i just ended up shying away from them due to this. I will say, the issues you have with a company are what make or break you purchasing with them in the future. If you've had good success, go for it. Thats how people end up with their own opinions or should anyway, by their personal experiences and not the experiences of others. Just my 2 cents :)

Honest Review i was waiting for this! I own the Roccat Khan Aimo and i think i will sitck to them for a litle while, the mic on mine sound better and the sound quality on frequency is higher goes from 10Hz to 40000Hz... But the sotware on Roccat is always a pain in the ass, they are always changing and filled with bugs! But nice review and HUG! Keep it up

Try using bass tests to see how far down the headphones will dig. Many on KZbin available, and I use them to test subwoofers

Hey Techne, One thing if I may suggest pointing out to your viewers, especcially for headsets that are not necessarily marketed for console, like these, is when you mentioned they worked on PS4, you might also want to specify whether or the the volume wheel works, or doesn't. I say this because several headsets that are marketed for PC, many will still work sure, but the volume wheel does not on consoles. It would be good to know exactly what works, and what does not considering some PC headsets may have limitations on console. Just a suggestions.

man i really wanted to like this headsets but they have some major issues that drive me nuts...ive had them for allmost 6 months. YES the ear pads are ruff and im always moving them around because the adjustments are too loose and i am constantly re adjusting them .....also the softwhere is not very good...its buggy and i have simple issues like everytime i turn them on i have to turn mic montoring back on threw the softwhere. i turn it on ...i take my headphones off once finished using them...i put them back on and the mic monitoring is turned off again...also when you plug them in threw the usb c cable it wont reconise that they are pluged in until you turn the power on. simple things that just drive me nuts for how much i payed for them... p.s i cant find any replacment ear pads anywhere.
