This girl is definitely the one with the best tutorials for making art dolls. She's open, honest, and nice.

I love the mammal style dragons! Good point about turning the head at all angles after putting on the eyes. I'm used to drawing, which means I only have to worry about what it looks like from one point of view when I'm making an illustration. I made a small sculpture that looked good from one angle but then I turned it to work on another area and realized that one eye was farther off from the center line than the other. Haha, it looked so funny.

I just discovered your channel today, you are very talented and amazing! I have watched about 5 or 6 of your videos today and when my craft area is complete I’m going to do one of your tutorials with my own spin to it to see if I can create a creature. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful talent. Hugs from Texas

You can use rubbing alcohol on Sculpey to smooth your fur strokes. Just take a brush, dip it into the alcohol, and paint with the strokes.

this is my FAVORITE art doll of ALL TIME. i love it SO MUCH that i made my own. i used the same pattern by trying to recreate what Jess made from looking at the screen but when mine was done it didn't flop so nicely like hers does. i even tried very minimally stuffing it but it didn't lay nicely at all. the belly pattern that flares at the chest and hips causes the legs to stick out unnaturally and a lump to form between the back legs. all my creatures do this and i CAN NOT FIND A WAY TO FIX IT. JESSICA HOW DO YOU MAKE THE LEGS NOT STICK OUT AWKWARDLY?!?!?!?!? AND HOW DO YOU MAKE THEM FLOP SO NATURALLY?!?!?!?

Your creations are amazing. was curious what you used for the filling that makes him so nice and flopsy?
@bubblyleafcreations7 жыл бұрын
For this one I just used normal polyfill stuffing, but you can also use sand or small beads to weigh it so it feels more real.

do you use polymer clay? Is there a certain, durable kind of clay?
@tacobelle4047 жыл бұрын
she uses sculpey clay also your profile pic XD
@thunderglory63986 жыл бұрын
clay looks really good but it is very brittle. if you have an art doll on display anywhere and then it falls off it might crack and then look awful after. or if you have it on your bed or something and a blanket covers it and then someone sits on it... yikes. this has happened to me... twice. that's why i needle felt the heads and paws because needle felting looks really realistic and it weighs hardly anything so the creatures wont fall over all the time. if i want to make things like bird feet like she did on her trico and newborn griffin i make it out of hot glue which bends and looks cool and is easy to fix. happy sculpting!
