I mounted 1 on my yard dump trailer. Reason i didn't mount it to my pickup is? Its a hotrod, not a work truck. To pick up big heavy logs. For firewood. Tire of breaking my back ~ Nice crane

Your boom.. It's on backwards!

it appears the boom is mounted backward. the adjustable side is goes on the back not the front. that will allow the boom to adjust up instead of down.

Normally the tag on the motor will give the weight at the bottom of tag. It'll weigh 300+ lbs.

It is a very good helping hand but that top bracket alone cannot help when it comes to the strength, I had to weld heavy gauge metal to the frame so it won't damage the truck bed in case of heavy lifting, if the bottom mount is compromised under heavy load it will be very costly and dangerous that top U bolt cannot stop that either.
