Perhaps you could do a video on disassembling and reassembling the RIA Meriva? There is a trick to fitting the slide carrier back onto the fore end for reassembly.

I bought one on a whim yesterday. I liked the color. A lot of web sites say that it jammed and locked up and turned into a club. The reply to those people is did you take it apart and clean out the factory anti rust coating? no=club yes=lifetime shotgun.

Thanks for this. Just got one of these today, and it is my first ever shotgun. The people at the gunshop didn't seem to have much idea about how to clean it - they recommended unscrewing the front of the magazine...

He said the barrel is threaded (true) and pinned (false) to the receiver. The barrel is most likely a G4 thread and regular right hand thread.

where can I get the two tabs that release the shell from the feed tube, the two screws that hold those tabs in and the springs behind those tabs, how do I contact y'all when I got the shotgun brand new the two screws that hold the tabs were broken

I have an issue that the shells from the magazine tube won't cycle. The steel shell holder won't catch onto the metal guide when you pump it back.

I'm having the same problem, although mine is intermittent. Sometimes it will cycle or drop the shells out the bottom as well. Did you ever get it fixed?

I came here looking for info on how to get the stockbolt off. I assumed "disassembly" meant a complete demonstration, not just getting the trigger group and bolt out.

predcon1 take the 2 screws out of the recoil pad, and remove it. That gives you access to the stock bolt.

That part I managed to figure out on my own, oddly enough. I meant removing the stockbolt itself. The manual has an exploded view, but doesn't say what size socket to use.

I tried. I have nothing that will reach. My nut drivers are too short, and I don't have a ratchet extension long enough to reach it. Need an 8 inch extension. Sorry.

Customer brought one of these in and the spring around the magazine tube is broke or jammed up, because it's almost impossible to pump/operate the action. How is the magazine tube held on?

It's threaded I was able to find out by looking at the after market tube for this gun, because not even the factory schematic shows threads on the tube. The spring wasn't broke but it's very sharp and kept binding so I just left it out and the pump works fine. As for the final fit of the internal parts, there were a lot of machining burrs left behind and sharp/rolled edges. I removed the burrs and rounded the sharp/rolled edges and now the action is smooth as butter. When you push the bolt release button with the muzzle pointed upwards the action just falls open, real smooth.

Remove the heat shield and the ring that clamps it to the barrel, then at the barrel end of the mag tube unscrew the two small screws and pry the cap off, that lets you remove the mag spring.

When i got mine it was COVERED in some kind of gun oil. No matter what i do i cant get it off. How do i clean that crap? Getting it on me and sprayed with it makes shooting this gun unpleasant

Find a good solvent. I use shooter lube gun solvent. Comes with a spray nozzle too if you really need to get into places. It dries without any residues and is safe on most finishes. Just make sure to still use a thin layer of lube afterwards to protect from corrosion and friction because it will get the gun bone dry.

Jimmy Avery I don't work for rock Island, I'm just a collector/shooter. The M5 is a fine gun as long as you keep it well maintained and use good quality ammunition. Spend the money you saved vs a better shotgun on ammo and shoot hundreds of rounds through it and become very proficient. You will be far better served as somebody with a cheap shotgun and practice and experience than someone with a $1000 gun that forgets to take the safety off or can't reload quickly.

Jimmy Avery I didn't even make the video- I was just watching it for myself. The only ammo this gun didn't like was Winchester bulk box birdshot. Remington or Federal 2 3/4" target loads and buckshot will work great in this gun.

Love the shotgun. Pain in the a$$ to break down and put back together. And ,my pump doesn't lock closed all the time , opens some times after firing without put from me. Then when I contact them and they find out I'm fr Canada , oh sorry no lifetime warranty, sold as is outside the US and Philippines. Yes $350 not well spent.
