Had our old one for 8 years, still going strong. Like some of the new features especially the exhaust filter, the folding log arm and table and best of all for my wife/operator the side mounted control handles which means she won’t have to twist and reach over to push/pull them. Which is why I’ve ordered the new version. Sure it will last for another 8 years like our old one.

what wood was being split and how long had it been seasoned for?

Like the machine but why not auto retract when putting levers into start position, seems a waste of energy, also hate E U rules on two handled operation. Not necessary.
