Hi Scott!!! Great update and all killer additions to the collection. All of them seems to be great ones..... like the new Saxon. I just discover Mezzrow last year thanks to the KiT festival YT channel, what an awesomw swedish thrash band. Never heard of Ruthless, but loved the way you discribed them. The first two Scanner's cds are so cool, glad to hear this one is also a good one. cheers and be well

2024 started pretty strong indeed. The Mezzrow album came out late summer 2023 over here and they have "Live at Keep it true" out as well on vinyl. Also as a collector you might be interested in their demos released on black wax in 2022 through Hammerheart Records called "Then came the Demos". I still need to get a physical copy of the new Saxon and I´m looking forward to the new Rage album out in March.

Listen to the title track (Marching On) first. It’s the last track on the album, but it should have been the first. It’s the heaviest track and they actually mixed in some harsh vocals. I think you’ll really dig it.

I can't understand why band members would want to leave a band that is doing so well? That Rods member that you mentioned David Feinstein was in the band Elf? Always learning from you Scotty. Well they are all in their 60s and 70s so I can only imagine that constant touring would wear on them. I spend one weekend with my grandkids and I’m beat. Haha. Getting old sucks.

Cool video Scott. The MEZZROW one is from 2023. Maybe that edition you have is from this year. I need that new RUTHLESS. Love there old stuff very much. There comeback album was good too and i think i will enjoy the last one too. Super. Nice to see that SCANNER and THE RODS are still going strong. All the Saxon albums are being released over here in UK extra tracks etc buying cds as they are issued. Paul Quinn from Saxon has left couldn't handle touring schedule he plays on 2 tracks on new album. Still making music bluesy type rock band seen KZbin videos fantastic

Have you heard and reviewed the new Believer 2023 vinyl remasters? (Extraction From Mortality, Sanity Obscure, Dimensions) I'd love to know more about the sound quality (specifically the audio source, pressing and mastering) as I haven't been able to find any info about that so far. Have to say I'm disappointed that the official ads for these don't say anything about that except it's band approved. I've previously bought remasters from other bands with that same 'seal of approval' that only made me wish I had spent my hard earned money elsewhere.

I’ve heard them and own them. The label worked with the band and got their approval on all the art and music. The mastering is fantastic. I haven’t heard one negative comment about the mastering.

Great video. I need to check out that Saxon and the other albums. I'm not a huge fan of the Andy Sneap sound myself. Or I should say I'm tired of it. Priest, Accept, Saxon, all sound the same these days.

I can understand what you are saying but I’d rather have Sneap’s sound than what Iron Maiden and Metallica have been giving us. Sneap isn’t a “yes man” and helps these established bands refine their sound.

The Rods new album is just okay. It has nothing on the first 3. The MEZZROW was in my top 10 of 2023. You said it was a 24 release when in Fact, its a 2023 release .
