The band was offered a massive contract but it was contingent upon me "taking one for the team" (as it were) from a VIP of the day. I turned it down and the band never got signed. I read David Bowie saw very little of the money from his awesome 70's work thanks to RCA swindeling him. After wrangling his way outta RCA he then released the global hit album "Lets Dance" in '83 and really started to earn. His revenge was better still when later in the '90's he secured then resold the rights to his entire back catalogue for around 50 000 000, whilst retaining future royalties and all rights to commercial use of his music. Leif Garret’s case came to me as a shock. Was only popular during his teen hood but lost as an adult due to alcohol and drugs. Ended up in year 2001 with just 1,000 dollars in monthly allowance from his mother ! Has been my favourite singer for the longest time since grade school. Even have his full album among my playlists, and used to sing one of his songs (I was looking for someone to love) solo during party programs. boy how kids start well at the start then ruin their lives as adults never leaving their parents side . Sad to learn that Meat Loaf was deceived so badly about his sales for 'Bat Out of Hell' and 'Bat Out Of Hell ll. Absolutely, LEGENDARY! I didn't know ANYBODY that didn't blast them on their car stereos or from their rooms. Doreen Boadu--i’m guessing the comment was made because people believe she killed Kurt Cobain or had something to do with it… I thought that for many years too until I watched many documentaries and read many facts about how messed up poor Kurt really was in real life! His own mother and sister who raised Frances even said so but the thing that really got me was that not even a month before he was found shot in the head Courtney found him overdosed almost dead and called and saved his life so here’s my question she had her out right then and there. She had an opportunity he was overdosed he barely made it alive by the time medics found him she could’ve let him die then but she chose to save him just to wait and blow his brains out or have it done? I mean out of all the things I read about Kurt and Courtney that’s the one that truly made me believe she had nothing to do with it. Was she messed up absolutely but she had the opportunity to just let him go and she would’ve gotten his money regardless and sooner! I think she’s just another person who relies on medication, a substance to get through life...sadly! It’s really too bad!

Many people assume she killed him but my question has always been if she did I’m sure there would an arrest. What you said is all true is just sad that we live in the world were the lie is no entertaining than the truth. I did a case study in uni about this and I know for fact he killed himself then again that’s just my belief.

@@lorib.4735 I agree. Like Kurt, I have depression and coincidentally tried to kill myself at 27. Being a messed up person is nothing to sneeze at and Courtney is at least innocent at this. However, I always wondered if Courtney could have killed him in self defense. That would explain why she could've saved him. At first she obviously loved him and wanted him to live. Then one night Kurt possibly demanding drugs from Courtney tried to kill her and she shot him in self defense. It wasn't planned. Problem was why would she then write a suicide note instead of just saying what happened. And he actually wanted to name an album I hate myself and I want to die. And why would she move his body to the greenhouse? Courtney is many things but a murderer isn't one.
