What an excellent interview. Not sure why I've never got around to seeing Zipheads as seen them lots on youTube...not being on Facebook I guess you miss notifications but Hope and Anchor end of August looks good.

My band opened for The Zipheads a couple of weeks ago. they were all stand up guys but Ray was particularly cool and made a point of bigging us up during their set. Legend!

'Not a very good player!' He's a fibbing little git. They played the Ill Repute in Bristol last year - fantastic gig and amazing playing. Luckily they're playing Bristol again in September🤘😁🤘 Very enjoyable chat/rundown. Cheers Nico

This was a really cool little interview/rig rundown video. Never heard of these guys but definitely gona check em out. Seems like a real cool dude. And as someone who plays a gretsch electromatic with just the stock pickups and through a marshal amp, it was interesting to hear him talk about that. I think I will eventually switch to tv jones pickups. Cuz I also notice loosing a bit of power on the lower strings but the higher strings are pretty loud like he said. So yeah great video man!

@@DEATHRAYCAT Don't thank me mate! I'd heard of the Zipheads via Viva le Rock mag, same way as ur band Nico... Mate, your way (same as Ray) of name dropping ur influences is how it shd be. I grew up as a 'punk' who's dad had Bill Halley and Cochrane records, so when I heard the Stray Cats l knew what it was. Ur a gd egg mate, we'd get on fine.. blind pist, but fine!

Holy hell, Ray! That opening song is killer! I'd pay double to see X-Ray Cats and Zipheads. I have a similar story of Gretsch evolution. I still play my modified Streamliner a lot. Did I miss the amp you're playing through? I remember a discussion on pedals. I'll have to re-watch to see what amp you're using. Cheers to both of you! All the success In the world!!!
