King Diamond has some of the most solid riffs you’ll hear in heavy metal.

Andy LaRoque is one helluva guitarist. He always be able to come up with heavy, intricate but still catchy riffs and solos. Still waiting for a special reaction to the whole album of Abigail. That would be so cool!! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼

Most underrated metal guitarist.

@@ACorpseWithoutSoul yeah, sadly. Don't know why he doesn't get all the recognitions he rightfully deserves ☹️

I can highly recommend you the much underrated King Diamond albums "Spider's lullaby" and "The Graveyard".

Thanks for checking it out. I always get a good laugh watching you listen to KD. Have a great Christmas, bro. 👍

I love how he said he wondered if it would sound this full and theatrical in studio version so you threw At The Graves at him. Great job 😂

Twilight Symphony would have been hilarious too

Ask any of the metal legends about who is the MOST METAL, and many will say KD. He walked that perfect line of not taking himself too seriously while being completely serious.

Takes a few songs to get into his vocal style but the music is top-tier metal, it's all this complex and well composed neo-classical with some great spooky tales, Andy LaRoque is a wicked lead guitarist; This album is part 2 of the story of the House of Amon, part one is Them, this track is about King raising his little sister, Missy, from the graves. Them explains what transpires when Grandma arrives back home (House of Amon) from the asylum, King has a great sense of storytelling and songwriting, react to "Out From the Asylum/The Invisible Guests" from Them next, the beginning of the tale, you'll dig it.

King Diamond is always great, though ive always preferred King Diamond with Mercyful Fate over his solo career. Still awesome either way 🤘

Oh and if you haven't heard his first proper band Mercyful Fate, I highly recommend them

That's right, a lot of people have lost hours and hours of great metal music just because "oh no, I can't hear his squeaky vocals and blah blah blah". If you then focus purely on the instrumental side, you will find that King is actually the "weakest" (paradoxically) part in the whole, and a perfect group of musicians treads under his vocal dominance. I hope we get some full fan versions of albums without vocals soon thanks to AI.

I was out after the 2nd time u paused it. No one writes music for it to be listened to in chunks. Sorry because I was looking forward to your reaction. 👎
