Also, on ICP's Juggalo Championship Wrestling vids, they mocked Kid Rock twice (1st with a jobber named "Redneck Devil Without A Cause" and 2nd with retired wrestler Kid Kash as "Kid Cock" (I should note that Kid Kash had, believe it or not a Kid Rock gimmick in the dying days of ECW)).

Yep most popular music and note I stress the most not all... isn't an artistic expression, it's a carefully calculated product designed to appeal to certain demographics. I had this debate with someone who was indoctrinated with this, they tried to convince me that a band being jerks to their fans, tricking people into thinking they were releasing new music when they weren't in order to keep the hype alive and dicking with record companies weren't actually making carefully calculated moves in order to appeal to the mainstream counter culture until I pointed out everything they did is copied straight from Chumbawamba's playbook. THAT SAID: Sometimes even if it's a product, it can be a good product and consumption of said product isn't always a bad thing and can be used to inspire actual art: I.E. Kids listening to Nickelback, form their own rock band and make music that's about them and their lives is art coming from a calculated product. Although in this case.... Kid Rock is a bag of dicks who's contribution to the culture can be measured in the Undertakers worst gimmick ever.

True story. I also own never mind in 3 different formats and I'm proud to own it, but now I'll never be able to listen to it without knowing my dad was one of millions of people who bought this garbage over nirvana, thanks a lot Luke :/

Oh, Kid Rock. I can't believe my parents were into this guy/music/whatever. And he resort to Country afterwards, and butchered "Sweet Home Alabama", that should tell you something on what my thoughts on Kid Rock. I mean, I may like Rock Rap, but it should *NEVER* mesh with Country. At *ALL*. I don't even know which is worse, Fred Durst or Kid Rock? Wait nevermind, they both suck.
@nitromagilou5977 жыл бұрын
Here's my thoughts on this album; 1: This song was *everywhere*. I heard it on the radio, I heard it near house parties/barbecues, I even hear it on movies (I may like F&F: Tokyo Drift, but come on...). Well, it was the _least_ awful Kid Rock song. I found the hook/chorus catchy, but the lyrics were complete nonsense. 2: And I heard _this_ track a lot, too. I didn't like it. I mean, I'm not even a fan of twang, but I could find artists that do it _better_. Seriously, "Country Song" by Seether was better than this. 3: What kind of song is this? Seriously. I mean, what the hell? 4: I don't mean to ask, but what is a "Bullgod"? I mean, this sounds pretty freaking weird. At least it sounds like they put some effort into it. 5: Rollin'? Seriously? Is he _trying_ to outdo Fred Durst on being crap? 6: I have no words for this... I mean, _WHY_ would you mix Country with Rap/Rock? It sounds awful. 7: More empty boasting. 8: What words can I describe this song? I got one for ya: Shit. 9: This was just awful. 10: Oh, I have a Fist of Rage, alright... 11: This song was terrible. I mean, the autotune was awful and it drags on and on. 12: This album can go fuck off... And they dragged poor Eminem into this? Shame on them. 13: More empty-boasting, phony, tough guy macho bullshit. 14: This was terrible. That's all I have to say. So overall, I _really_ hate this album. Mixing _country_ (the music genre I absolutely *DESPISE*) with Rap and Rock was the stupidest thing I have ever heard, the sampling was shameful, his empty boasting is repetitive and obnoxious, and it's all fucking terrible. #DontlistentoKidRock

+Rise Against The Hate. Ignorance Will Never Win. I'm perfectly fine. Besides, my parents were into _so_ much crap, especially my mom, who was into bands like Nickelback, Creed, Puddle of Mudd, and Buckcherry, however she did introduce me to bands like Disturbed, Korn, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machine, Pantera, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, P.O.D, Temple of the Dog, Drowning Pool, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Soundgarden, and many others, so it wasn't a complete tragedy. Also, my parents (and to some extent, my little brother) weren't _that_ big into rock music all that much. I live in Texas, and many people I knew (including my family), were mostly into country music (which I *despise* with a burning passion) and I barely heard rock on the radio, so I took what I could get. But hey, I'm not all that salty. I got introduced to a few atrocities, but it did open up my tastes in finding so much better alternatives.

I have a soft spot for this album. I actually first heard "I Am The Bullgod" on a late-night metal show on the radio (where I also first heard Godsmack, in amongst the actual metal being played) "Bawitdaba" is a definite guilty pleasure as well. But really, this album was in heavy rotation on my roommate's stereo my second year of college. It irked me that the same people who were into Kid Rock werent' into Jackyl like I was.
