Sierra_bravo A Traxxas Slash 1/16th. NiMh batteries crapped out, brushed motor is a bit crap. Hopefully I can upgrade to Li-Ion and brushless at some point, but I haven't used the thing in over 2 years, so I doubt the motor and batteries are the only things wrong.

+LazerLord10 man it still used brushed motors and nicds. as long as the receiver, transmitter, and frame are good you should be able to get the car back up and running. i would recommend getting lipos. the ones used in rc aircraft their lighter and cheaper then the ones used in cars.

Sierra_bravo But still, it seems like a bit of money for something I may not even use. Then again, once it fixed maybe I'll finally use it. The thing with LiPo's is that I need a new ESC (I think?) so that they don't over-discharge. And If I'm getting a new ESC, I might as well go brushless while I'm at it.

Y'know what would be a cool thing on these videos, now that I think about it more than 5 years later? Commentary tracks, from writers and editors and the like. Even if we can't get loads of behind-the-scenes footage like this, a little bit of insight as to how the magic is done in some places would be cool...even though that'd be a ton more work on you already very busy bees!

In future if you have strength issues with your prints, up the infill percentage. From what I saw in the video it looked like you were using about 30%· People say anything higher than 50% is unnecessary, but if you want a really strong print there's nothing wrong with going for 100%. Also, avoid thin edges for structural parts. 3D printers can make some surprisingly rock-solid parts.
