Hey Diplex I recently found out about this guy named Hitler from a documentary on KZbin. I just wanted to say stay safe in Sweden, in my documentary they said that Hitler invaded Denmark and Norway (which is just next to Sweden) so I’m not too sure what the UN is going to do about it but just wanted to make sure you stay safe!

Well if they broke the Neman line in East Prussia that opens up the way for Lithuania and the Baltic States to be taken by the German empire and also White Ruthenia being created out of Former Belarus

As promised a Log from a point of view of a Field marshal enjoy: Commander’s Log #1 Date: January 12, 1931 By: Muller von Heisenberg Field Marshal I am happy to say that the second attack on the Niemen River was a success with the first attack was shameful to the Prussian Empire, with this attack successful the line of defence for the Russians has moved back from Konigsberg quite a bit so the east is secured for the time being but the south is looking ripe for attack, as the region there it is mainly flat due to the farm lands present there, there are also pockets of forests there as well these combination of geology and geography it is great for attack with the stormtroopers and our new tanks as well, the tanks in both battles of the river were exepanol with there performance in the battle field, with all of these results of performance of our units the attack towards the Vistula river should be an easy task for troops.

That was a Bloody Battle. Since the Germans are using French tanks, and one of them is a H-35 or H-39 (1935 French tank and its 1939 upgrade), its likely that in this world the French are leading the development of Armoured Warfare in this alt history and probably have some ties to the German military to lend some of their new Tanks for Battlefield testing.

Excerpts from the Russian front; (RP) It's been months since the last attacks by the Keiser since his push on army group headquarters last year. Since then the Tsar has sent his son and the best equipment to hold back the two combined army 1st and 3rd combat groups attacking this theater. We've spent months digging and waiting; digging and waiting; digging and waiting... Then one day in the midst of the stinging slogging sludge of late winter the Germans appeared. By god, we'd never seen such firepower able to be used in such a way. They needed no previous bombardment to clear our trenches. The push was like nothing I'd ever seen I just kept firing and reloading; firing and reloading, hoping they could realize the attack was in vain to no avail. In just thirty minutes they could take what took us three months to build. They say hell is filled with fire and smoke, but what they don't tell you about is the stinging; numbing cold that hardens your soul to the core that follows and proceeds it. I didn't know if these men had hate in their hearts or if they had more fear and desperation than even I did, but I'm not sure it would bring much comfort either way. Regardless of their motivations, they got closer until the whites of their eyes showed and the smell of their breath wafted into our faces. As the last field guns fell our officer finally signaled a retreat across the bridge to friendly territory. We tried to escape with our lives let alone dignity. For what at the end of the day is to show; a few yards and a bridge? The stench of failure still clung to the men like tobacco in the cold. Last night as we waited for the Germans to stop shelling our retreating column and consolidate their gains we just sat there. Men of all ages wept, we cried for the terror we had gone through; cried for the men we had ended, and cried for we knew that this was just a respite until the next engagement. Everyone but the ones who'd seen combat before; they stood silently and just watched the skies for something we still aren't sure about. We could sob all day but when the time comes to stand up we hope they make it quick. May God have mercy on our souls. -found at the turn of the century in a local train station with no indication of actual origin. Both the author and the intended recipients remain unknown to this day. (Ah, how would this go for a WW1 style-esq on this battle/war from a 'random' soldier's perspective.)
@annoyedbipolar74242 жыл бұрын
Thought might be interesting to add a "soldier perspective" that often came from the memoirs of soldiers and their stories especially as it relates to WW1 and WW2. WW1 often had a dread of absolute hopelessness that I think is fairly well captured in this battle ahead as this is the EXACT war (minus gas attacks) that all the major belligerents after WW1 desperately tried to avoid. I think this series is going to be insane in terms of the videos merits itself but also from the community engagement in shaping the ongoing narrative. Overall well-done Diplex, you've done it again.

@annoyedbipolar74242 жыл бұрын
@@Happy_shark2 Yours was a cool way to balance out and sort out some of the "lore" going on. It felt more like an overarching perspective with that of a German general. Sort of the clinical nature of war vs the sheer grit of it all. The change of the heroic general seizing glory for himself to the average soldier that looks like you and me fighting for something he couldn't really define was common all over the narrative change from Napoleonic empires to WW1 trenches. (I mean to be fair most famous WW2 generals in real life just bitched or acted like total divas after the war. Whether this one is I guess is up to you and Diplex) It helped my prompt which was trying to remember the tone and feeling of watching vets talk about the war. Overall I think both sides give this series a sort of 2000s history channel documentary vibe between the two perspectives decades after the war. It's almost like WW1 2 in HD: "Explosive Boogaloo"

Building some sand castles huh those things are fun all you have to do is you make a mound of sand to fit the interior dimensions of the bunker, and then you make an exterior wall, and exterior roof, and then the in between part, like the cream part of the Oreo, gets filled up with concrete and then you let that set, dig out all the sand that's on the inside, and you just got a bunker sitting there

As Col. Vadim Antonivich Smirnov watched the remnants of the 2nd Battlion retreat from across the river, he couldn't help but sigh. "Your Excellency, what shall we do?" asked his driver in concern. The Colonel paid him no heed. "One day, I shall return to this place. And mark my words, it will be them who shall run," with that, he lowered his binoculars and picked up his comms. "I want every gun we have to destroy the bridges once the 15th Siberian Regiment has withdrawn," *"Yes Sir!"* came the reply over the radio. "Kolya, get me to HQ, I wish to inform General Deniken myself," he commanded. "At once, your Excellency!" with that, the Colonel sat down as the staff car drove off, all the while, the big guns began pounding the bridges in the distance.

Would love to see more interwar German "traktor" designs added tbh! Like the leichttraktor Vs. Kfz.31, or the Leichttraktor Kampfwagen II which the Swedish did irl use to some success as the Strv 21! Edit: Also wouldn't hurt for the Prussians to have some sort of armored support canons as well, seeing as last time the Russland artillery is what wreaked the most havoc amongst the Prussian troops.
