Awesome Video! How fast does the steaming recoup between steaming session? Do you have to wait in between steam to build pressure back up (would it work with back to back steaming?... like steaming 200ml milk every 45 sec to 1 min).

The Bicocca boasts a double boiler system with the grouphead equipped with a thermoblock for optimal thermal consistency. Steaming and brewing back to back should not be a problem at all 😄

I'm considering this for a coffee cart instead of the Linea Mini. Do you think I can do 150 cups a day on this, no problem?
@lamarsacoffee29 күн бұрын
We have used the Bicocca last year during the Malaysia Coffee Week 2023 for 4 days straight, easily more than 150 cups with no problem! Unless you're okay with refilling the water tank, you can make your workflow easier by plumbing in the Bicocca too 👍

How does it compare to the LM Micra? (i.e. which one should you get?)
@lamarsacoffee6 ай бұрын
The Rocket Bicocca has double the brew boiler capacity than the LM Micra. If it is purely for home use, the LM Micra is more than enough to do the job, while the Rocket Bicocca is perfect for both home and also commercial setting.

How temperature stable is the Bicocca, compared to a LM Mini?
@lamarsacoffee6 ай бұрын
We haven't put them head to head, but both machines have excellent thermal stability. The LM Mini is a double boiler with an integrated group head (brew boiler is right above the group) while the Bicocca is also a double boiler but features a cartridge in the group to maintain temperature. Hope that helps!

Beautiful design. The only thing is the display being on top where if my counter is high, not sure how comfortable it would be to look from above

The only and main reason I skipped on this machine and went with another from different maker. My height simply doesn't allow me to use this machine comfortably on my kitchen countertop. The top display should have been angled.

Hi all. What can you actually do with this machine that sets it apart from another dual boiler machine? The marketing material and brocbures are very vague and just talk about its design rather than what it actually does. Does it have any degree of program ability to set pre infusion times and pressures? Can you save profiles on it? Im interested in it but i just dont get what it does yet. Thanks
@lamarsacoffee7 ай бұрын
The Bicocca is capable of volumetric, has programmable buttons (you can save profiles), you can also set pre-infusion time. From our limited time with the Bicocca, we found that it is not only perfect for home use but also for low to mid volume cafe. Hope that answers your question!

I wonder if the textless interface is to remove translations. I work in IT and it so annoying that a user interface can look smooth in english, but messy in french or italian, due to the lenght of the all the labels changing.
@drazenbabich4 ай бұрын
The display at the top should be angled. I wish the design team put a little more thought into it's usability for shorter and mid-height people. Otherwise it's primarily 'form over function', something many an Italian designer has known to be guilty of, in the past. Also, not a flagship. Rocket flagship machine is still R Nine One, that one is still untouchable IMO.

It's programmable in this one (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jF7dmKB3irKEnNU) but no manual paddle as in the R91. May be a case of too much modernization?

Design is indeed super clean - but that round knob for on/off seems really out of place. Traditional push/pull makes much more sense for a 2-position switch and it's more reliable when hands might be slightly wet from handling water, etc.

Meh. Will depend on price point but looks like a R91, probably geared towards small businesses
@Kats07230711 ай бұрын
It showed not a pressure profile machine driven by the unique pump, such as the Rocket R9 one. But a standard rotary pump instead. Sounds nice to me ! If the price of R9 one will be (next year) around 9 thousand euros, I would bet for 6 thousand for this Bicocca new machine PS. On the design, just how to appeals, it looks abit alike the Sanremo You

£400 cheaper than a R91 in the UK on pre order. Either its replacing the R91 and they aren't releasing all the features yet or it's just an expensive dual boiler. I'm not really sure yet what it actually does to warrant being nearly 5 grand in the UK

No problem at all to steam back to back, as the Bicocca is a semi-commercial machine. As long as you don't keep on using the hot water, and keep the steam boiler filled with water, the Bicocca can handle it!
