I once had a bug where I had a painted Breakout equipped on blue and an unpainted one equipped on orange, traded up the painted one to an exotic and ended up with an Octane equipped on Blue while having a Breakout equipped on Orange, and it even worked ingame.

New fun fact. With the release of Rocket Racing. The drift smoke trail came out and now it’s one of the only items aside from Burnout boost that spins the car’s wheels

Useless fact: Redline is so far the only car that can have its brake calipers painted (discovered by accident by me, they use secondary paint color); I suspect that Bumblebee car could pull off the same trick since its calipers appear white in menu, but since Bumblebee Car cannot apply any decals, nor choose secondary paint color, I cannot check if it's true through traditional means/without modding

7:21 The first DLC (Dominus and Takumi) added an achievement called "Winning is Winning" which required you to win a season championship using a Dominus or Takumi in every game. This was bugged for me for absolutely ages, causing it not to unlock. There's 2.5 YEARS between me getting "Ride or Die" and getting "Winning is Winning". My last achievement obtained (for the 88 out of 88) was "Best of the Bunch" back in March of 2020 (6 months after my 87th).

Another useless fact: in older versions of Rocket League, there were a lot more engine sounds available to players; basically eight OEM engine sounds, and every Premium Car (non-licensed, obtainable only through DLC's, like Dominus, Takumi, Grog) all came with not one like now, but TWO different engine sounds. Funky enough, one of old OEM engine sounds actually was missing a reverse sound, which caused reeving sound to interact with reversing in an interesting way! Currently on every engine sound you choose, you get same sound both when reeving front and reverse, and that one engine sound was different from them all.

Interestingly one of those bot tournament matches for the achievements is actually broken, or doesn't award u (At least for epic players) And yes, I looked it up. I'm not the only one with that issue So yeah. I sit at 81/82 pretty unsatisfying

Yeah, I realize might be a silly nitpick, but there's something kinda suspicious about that freeze-frame at 1:09, where Sledge says that group spent several hours pushing the scoreboard up to 10000 goals. I've never been in a private match anywhere near that long, but I know when you set the match length to "unlimited" the clock counts upward infinitely, so I'm almost positive the clock shouldn't be showing "0.00" in that screenshot. I was also going to ignore the fact that the orange players' goals in the inset freeze-frame at 1:12 only add up to 6711 (because the blue players could certainly have own-goaled the rest) but I did some quick math and if they took turns hitting the ball into the net immediately each time it reset, it shouldn't take them more that 3-4 hours to hit 10000 goals, and yet Sledge said they spent 17 hours. And before anyone tells me they might have taken bathroom breaks, sure they could have, but what was happening for the other 12 hours?

In answer to your first question, an unlimited time map will eventually just show 0's if you are in it long enough. Example here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fafUYnyweL6EecU But yes in hindsight that does seem like an excessively long time but also not impossible with some long breaks/net misses and perhaps they weren't that coordinated. It seems weird to lie about the hours when the post was impressive by itself, but who can really say what happened?

I don't know if you have already said this in another video: But back in 2016 when you played a private game against bots, you got the points from the game added to your EP. So playing against bots in a private match could get you from "rookie" all the way to "rocketeer" without playing against real people.

Bot's double tap is a decent attempt on "The craziest goal in Rocket League history" but I would give that honor to the Evample's "good luck saving this one" ceiling shot air bump (he typed this while in the air and scored).

@@Rocket_Sledge here's a piece of unsolicited advice : to 100% and get the platinum trophy for. RL on ps4... When I did the single player season I literally would just start each match by ofc beating the bots to kickoff and score 5 or so goals, then go make coffee or Netflix or do my homework lol. The bots are so bad they often would just increase the score to 7-0. But yeah, best way to get that acheivment haha. But you should do it! You Gotta get that 100% for a game you love so much! 😉

Solid video as always. Not sure why, but this video reminded of this post on the subreddit, where someone asked for a decal with their initial to be added to the game. They said that they don't deserve it, and they won't always use it if they got it. They'd simply be "pretty happy." The post was titled something like "Day 1 of asking ..." too. They got downvoted to oblivion and the 2nd day post got removed. One of the dumbest and most entitled things I've seen from the community lol.

Worst day of rl for my. I dropped much but I had worse days, that’s also nit the reason. The reason is my main car and the problems. Dominus: Hitting air dribbles consistent, defending good but bad at ground dribble and missing some easy balls Fennec: Playing consistent, winning a lot of 50‘s and kick offs, good at ground dribble but bad at air dribbles and can‘t play so fast in my mind Octane(I use rn because I used for 9 months, before I used DOMINUS): Playing very fast, good ground dribbles(not as good as fennec), some good air dribbles but inconsistent, missing some easy shots and no good control Ranking of my play 1.Dominus: I played best with it but I still lost all matches 0/5 matches won 2. Fennec: was ok but it feels heavy 1/5 matches won 3. Octane: Car I played worst but won most 4/5 matches won. So like with the best cars I play bad and with the bad good. Horrible for me

I just call the new rule 1 "headlock". Or, since getting stuck driving beside another car is "holding hands", the headlock could be called "kissing". Either way, I haven't called it Rule 1 in a long time. And man, I wish we could change tires and rims separately. There are some cool wheels that I like but I just want a regular tire on them.
