bands usually make their money off of performance......
@CP4884
@CP4884 5 жыл бұрын
Touring, merch, and royalties from album sales is where bands make their money, and believe me...they made A LOT of money. So does the record label, but the record label is also taking a gamble with their money. There are a lot of bands that just go nowhere for any number of reasons. It's for this reason that so much trash music sounds exactly the same. Because record labels don't want to gamble, they just sell people the same shit they've been eating for years and they love it. They even try to get bands to try to gravitate towards the sounds that produce money. Which is why you see so many bands start out sounding fuckin awesome, then eventually sound like absolute overproduced radio rock trash. Stars are no longer discovered, they're crafted. And they all play in the tune of $100 bills.

I have so many friends who have been sexually abused. Almost like 50% of my friends. I have some trauma too so with people like that you just automatically click. You have an innate understanding of each other’s pain that’s hard to find with “normal” people. I’ve seen that sort of abuse absolutely destroy people. One of my friends that dealt with it died by suicide. Another hit rock bottom with drug use. It’s dark and has such a lasting effect. Trauma hits you so deep especially when it starts when you’re so young. I can’t blame my friends or anyone else for how they choose to deal with the pain they’re drowning in. Much love to anyone that reads this and is in a similar place. You’re not alone ❤

I worked one of their shows back in 99 and Mick was the only one along with maybe Clown that was out on the floor interacting with everyone during pre show prep. Now I know he just didn't want to be around all of his bandmates. I did notice most everyone....keep in mind with 9 members it's difficult to keep track.... isolated themselves like primadonnas. It seemed there was stuff going on that Mick didn't want to be around even on that first tour. I still remember many of the things he said. Real cool guy.

The reason so many opiate addicts die after the relapse is because while they are clean thier tolerence drops but being an addict they take the same dose they used to before becoming clean and the body cannot handle the dose. I agree addicts will find their fix either way but if doctors are prescribing meds that can be abused and cause death then they should really know better then to give a patient them if they KNOW they're a known drug addict. Doctors really should be better trained and equipped to spot "red flags" that may be a sign of a patient having an addiction. That way there's less of a chance of these drugs getting in the wrong hands AND that way they can give their patients resources to get help with their addiction. And I'm a recovering addict myself so i speak from personal experience.

I always see posts on Social Media with people saying things like, "Slipknot isn't real Metal" or "They just wear masks to hide the fact that they don't have any talent", and I just don't understand that, because they never take the time to actually do their research about this amazing band, and what they went through to get to the point that they are at right now. Slipknot is the reason why I got into Metal in the first place, and their music helped me through thick and thin, that's why I have so much respect for them.🖤

I listened to them in high school along with other heavy metal bands then found other genres of metal and stopped listening to Slipknot. I never thought about it really until watching this video. No more trolling for me. This video REALLY showed me why Slipknot has held such a passionate fan base for so long. And now I'd like to join it - again. I hope you'll accept and forgive me. Ironically when they were on drugs, they made the Subliminal Verses, and it was the most creative and successful album they ever produced.

I'm only halfway through this video. But I want to thank you, Rock Feed, for making this video about Slipknot's history. This video has given me a new and deep respect for the band. I listened to their _Slipknot,_ and _Iowa_ albums in high school and loved the hell out of them. But then i ventured onto other bands and kinda stopped listening to Slipknot so much. Now, I'll start listening to them way more, with a new interest and passion. Thanks so much, Rock Feed...... 🤘 RIP, Paul Gray. :( 🥀

Big respect to the band for hanging on and dealing with grusome tough times. I can relate a lot personally having dealth with child sexual abuse, hence PROUDLY ex- Catholic, depression, issues with drugs, especially glamourized overrated alcohol, and suddenly losing an important loved one. Paul Gray..continue to rock on in Heaven brother 🙏✨🤘👼✨

Corey was the final piece to the puzzle. Jordison was my favorite drummer. His death was absolutely shocking, especially since I still hadn't gotten over the death (still haven't) of LP's Chester Bennington, and struggled with Chris Cornell's. I remember how much Paul's death shocked me too. Some of the BEST gone entirely WAY too soon.

Excellent job. Maggot for life! Edit: I can tell by your voice and conviction that this matters a lot to you. I know all things rock matter to you, but i think you too have a place in your heart for Slipknot specifically. Rock on bro
