Another plus of buying the BadBoy is they have a tractor parts plant in Batesville AR. They also take care of warranty work better than TYM because bad boy is standing behind the product.

I own a bad boy lawnmower. I’m 55 years old and it is by far the best lawnmower I have ever owned! Any dealings I’ve had with bad boy have been positive… They really want to earn your business! They are obviously new in the tractor Market, but I guarantee you if they put bad boy on it they will be one of the best small to midsize tractors on the market within the next five years! There’s not many companies that take as much pride in what they do as my experience with bad boy! Like they say mow with an attitude! God bless.

Hey Brock, I've had my Badboy 4035 for just over a year with over 100 hrs. It's been a great little tractor thus far. I've done several reviews of my Badboy 4035. Thanks for covering the Badboy. At the time South Florida it was best bang for buck.

Great video, Brock. I just picked up a 2025 TYM T224 last week, and what a great little tractor and cuts grassawesome. There is lots of power, and I believe it's the best sub compact tractor out I will be starting videos on it next week no one iss showing what it is made off and I plan on changing that 😀

Thanks for the video Brock. I am actually seriously considering going from an open station TYM T474 to a TYM cab tractor for mainly the A/C. I am no longer heat tolerant after having a mild heat stroke back in 2005. It gets worse every year. I have three open station tractors including a John Deere 5103, IH B414D and my beloved T474. My work usually involves working in tight woods 80% of the time and I have always feared breaking the glass in a cab tractor. But I think it is time to start talking about a cab tractor so I can enjoy having air conditioning here in southwest Arkansas from March to September. Thanks again for the detailed information in today's video my friend.

The thing you'd want to worry about with these off-brand tractors is dealer support, and parts availability and how you are going to get both when you live in an area that those machines aren't sold in. Sure the savings up front might sound great, but when you need parts and service and have to travel hundreds of miles for both, it might not end up saving you anything...if you have to order parts due to being far away from the dealer, the cost of doing so, and the downtime might be counter-intuitive....gotta think outside of that dollar figure for the long term...eventually you will need parts, eventually you will need dealer level service/repairs. Doesn't matter what color you buy, that's on you, just think about your decision very well before buying....and dealer network and how far away they are is a huge thing to consider long before you start worrying about how much money you are gonna save up front by buying that off-brand machine.

I have a BB 4035 without the cab that I bought before TYM bought Kukje . 160 hours and going good. Big part of that choice was dealer location. Bad Boy dealer less than half the distance of the closest TYM dealer. i wish there were the better things like Grill Guard and skid plates to protect the underside especially as there are things like wires and hydraulic lines under there that are more exposed than I like. Check with your Badboy dealers though, I know of a couple that do not have tractor mechanics, not a good thing.

As a retired Ford New Holland & Kubota dealer, I would strongly suggest anyone who purchases some of these tractors with a small market segment should purchase a parts manual immediately. That way at least you could track down parts nationally if the local dealership should change or drop those brand. Hopefully Bad Boy is using TYM part numbers and not reinventing their own. New Holland was gracious enough to use Montana/LS part numbers and just add MT as a prefix to most of those parts.

My fear of bad boy, If they fold who will pick up the repairs. I have a RK24 and RK had issues with getting filters at one point. The parts guy at the TYM dealer didn't want to help me get filters because we had to cross search part #'s. Now RK just stocks Yanmar filters. BTW my RK has 700hrs on it, it's a tough little tractor.

I love my bad boy zero turn and want the tractor but the nearest dealer is 60 miles away. Not sure if that’s a bad thing or not. I have a trailer and can load it up and am only a hobby farm so not making my full time income from it so I feel like I could drop off the tractor for a week or two for any work and it not hurt me. I also have access to a few other family tractors if really needed.

I just acquired a Massy Ferguson 165 with a few issues that I have started addressing. Will be looking to get a loader and possible a removable back hoe to add to it. I have a working Kubota 3650 with loader, but think the loader on the tractor is a required addition to hake it useful. I don't farm any land, just maintain my little 25 acres and process firewood for a hobby and "chainsaw Therapy" Both tractors are diesel powered and pre DEF. The Kubota will lift much more than the tractor will hold the ground with the rear tires so I'm thinking the hoe on the back of the 165 might be the best addition to the tractor for getting firewood logs and processing off the ground.

Hello, I’m a retired Ford and Bush Hog loader dealer. In the past, we installed brand new Bush Hog brand loaders on the older Massey’s (my dad was a Massey dealer in the ‘60s & ‘70s) and you will find the loader works exceedingly slow because those tractors did not have enough hydraulic pump volume. Find one with a loader and operate before you consider the same. And ,of course, the backhoe would work equally slow. I would consider an older commercial industrial tractor loader backhoe first, like a Case 580, Deere 310, Cat 416, etc. Good luck to you.

Beyond just rebranding, the Bad Boy tractors are a gamble because they are legacy Branson/Kukje models. For now TYM is continuing to make the Kukje line in addition to their own models but there is so much model duplication at some point they may cancel the old Kukje designs.
@RockhillfarmYT

My concern with buying a re-branded tractor is if the two companies stop doing business for whatever reason, parts for your tractor may become obsolete and you have a $35,000 yard ornament now
@mattmcc7930
@mattmcc7930 3 ай бұрын
That's not always the case. In this instance, TYM would have to stop making their version. As long as TYM is making their version, there will be parts for the bad boy. Same with NH and LS.

I agree. In the past re-brands have been marketed as basically the same tractor. Some little parts here and there have been different. That's why I haven't pulled the trigger on anything but a name brand. Sometimes the deals work out though, people just need to make sure to do research and find out if it is basically the same or it is the same.

"There's nothing wrong with buying a rebranded tractor". I have to disagree. As a Kioti dealer, we had a TON of customers buying parts from us for their Bobcats made before 2012 (the last time Bobcat sold rebranded Kiotis). Why? Because Bobcat wasn't selling many tractors post-market crash and decided to drop the line altogether, basically stopping after-sales support overnight. It happened once, and can happen again!
@RockhillfarmYT
@RockhillfarmYT 3 ай бұрын
I said there’s nothing wrong with it as in everyone gets to make their own choices. I also pointed out that I wouldn’t do it. They’re more expensive for less capacity and less long-term confidence in parts availability. I think if you really listen, I made the case in this video to not buy a bobcat

@@RockhillfarmYT millions of views and comments don’t equate to quality or premium. You can buy Bad Boy at Tractor Supply and other big box stores. You also have to look on who is commenting, is it homeowners or guys who mow for a living. I mow part time and cut roughly 43 acres of grass a week. I used to work for a John Deere and Exmark dealer and personally run mostly Ferris. I would not consider Bad Boy to be on the same level as your Exmarks, Scags, Ferris, Deere. There’s a reason you don’t see them regularly on landscape trailers. They are geared towards homeowners. Go to the GIE expo and ask any professional there, I bet you will get similar responses.

@briansmith8405 I go to G.I.E every year even though it’s not called that anymore. I think they changed the name two years ago to the Equip Expo. I’m not trying to make the case that bad boy makes the best mowers. I don’t even believe that This is a silly conversation. What I meant by my comment in the video is that bad boy mowers are really popular. Biggest surprise to me is how many people love Scagg when they seem like a little bit of a cheaper option to me. Tells me I need to try one.
