so i have a strange story, when Deni used to work for 2 day FM in sydney she pulled up to the skate park i was skateboarding in and interviewed me live on radio, one of my friends told me to say something stupid when asked what my favorite saying was " sk8tin for satin " LOL and she said something like " i can't approve of that ", just so happened my mum was listening on her car ride home and knew it was me on the radio, the conversation when i got home was not fun

Whilst the rest of the planet was mired in grunge and gangsta rap, we were all about bright colours and brighter smiles. It didn’t matter the genre; it could be faux-reggae (this), faux-house (Euphoria aka Australia’s Milli Vanilli!), girl-group dance-pop (Girlfriend, possibly the most influential Australian pop group of the 90s!) or indie-pop (Frente), the vibe was constantly and relentlessly upbeat.

Love this comment! Australia really was churning out great music this 90s era...soon "Savage Garden" were gonna come out...and Merril Bainbridge had a huge international hit with "Mouth". This 90s era probably was the final peak of decent Australian music. Once streaming came in...it really is impossible for any Aussie artists to get support internationally or even locally. I mean, this Deni Hines video looks expensive. New Aussie singers don't get given big budgets anymore for Music Videos or promotion, like they did in the 90s...
