A real digger here; Folks this is what it looks like when you dig, you find heartbreakers, bottles that are rare that you really want but are broken , others common and finally some keepers . It's mostly luck. Occupation layers come in all shapes and sizes and many days I spent digging places where everything was broken. So much work and research goes into this hobby and it sickens me to see that there are some fake YT channels out there pretending and riding our coattails. You sir are the real deal !

I'm here because I found a bunch of vintage bottles in the woods by my house in Florida. I have a really old Coke bottle! Found some other beautiful bottles, including those really old light turquoise blue. I have at least 50 bottles and counting. I've Loved bottles my whole life, and now I want to get digging and have a bottle adventure!

Yea it is fun. It makes for a good youtube revenue stream. I do these uploads so I can arrowhead hunt. It is easy to find bottles.....marbles....and toys on dumps. So it is easy to make a video. It is a steady revenue stream. Good exercise too. You should find a dump and start a channel

Looks like a nice spot, that cloverdale milk is sweet. I'm hoping ya find yourself a salt glazed crock there too. I dug yesterday, was muddy after getting past the frozen top, nothing special some mason jars, but l was heart broken to find a busted Arnart anthropomorphic cat figure. Anyways great finds!

Damn, I'd be cutting those broken art deco bottles n such down to drinking glasses. Beautiful. Those uranium glass and other colored glass pieces are great for bead making and art projects. Even in broken glass you could be sitting on gold believe it or not.

Your knowledge of glass is awesome!! Love listening to you speak about every piece which you examine and decide to keep. You're saving pieces of our past, and that's so admirable!! You made me laugh when you said, "I'm a digger". I'm a "digger" too. There's a thrift store that has giant tables here. They just dump stuff onto the tables, and people pull out what they want to buy by the pound. I go through everything that is at the bottom and missed by everyone rushing to grab up things. It's all clean though, so I guess you could say I clean dig. What you do is so much more exhausting, and you get dirty, but you find much better antique and valuable treasures. That's so cool!!

Thanks 👍 I will go back. They almost always pan out if you go to places like that. I get there are 10,000+ bottles there or more...and you can hardly see any of them. The key to knowing there was a dump there was the glass on the surface. 9/10 of these old dumps had dirt pushed in on top...to cover them. That was usually done in the 196060's when dumping was outlawed and fines started being issued. When I left the house I figured there was a good chance Id find bottles...one thing about bottle hunting......everybody drank bottles of stuff.....it is all dumped someplace. It is easy......REAL easy to find stuff like this if you just put in an effort

That Christmas Coke bottle is such a pretty color green, it almost looks like uranium glass. I know its not, but it is nice. This new place looks very promising, who knows what you'll find. You brought up Q-Bert, I'd almost forgot about that, I liked playing that & Astroids. Wow, right off the bat, you found embossed milks. Go get-m Rocks !! :~)

Yea....the good thing is the stuff isnt 8 ft deep. Some of that stuff was hardly even covered by dirt. Easy digging...and the stuff is pretty nice condition. The main thing is being able to make easy videos.......like this video will make more money this month than all the bottles are worth. Then it will make me money every month for the rest of my life. That is why I dont even worry about selling the stuff.

I have never dug a dump site that would be awesome, but over the years of seaching for Indian artifacts I still have everything that I have found, selling them was never a option many memories over the years. Fields aren't plowed like back in the day, still have a few spots to look, especially on the river in a few places. Keep exploring and educating people on the past.

yea....and buy a digging probe. The best people to ask are bottle diggers on here if that is what you are after. You can probe for privy's and do real well in yards.

I just started to dig at a dump and I use a 4 pronged cultivator like that. Works so well for popping out bottles!

Yea....I think I have found 10 or 12 of them on here.....around that Id say. I have not found one in a good while....hell I have not found in real nice milks for a while. I have been on a milk dry spell. Both of these ones are more average...common. Hopefully I can find a real rare 2-300 dollar one...there are more than a few of those around here
