This is a surprisingly good interview for being a short little TV music video intro thing. The guy actually knew what he was talking about and actually seemed to break through the band's socially awkward exteriors a little bit just in those 5 minutes

I thought the same thing, he didn't keep blathering on but at the same time asked some decent questions

The Video Jockey's name is Michael Williams and he was one of the original hosts of Muchmusic when it launched so he was a seasoned veteran. He even pushed for show segments like Rap-City and was a very composed and easygoing personality which contrasted his more colourful VJ colleagues.

I was so surprised they name dropped so many Canadian artists especially Gino Vanelli. If they had spouted Pagliaro I would have fallen out of my seat. Nice interview.

This was a great interview and some very good questions asked about their production team and the process of making the music. Stuff I hadn't heard before.👍🏼☕

This interview was actually filmed on Sep 23, 1990 when Jellyfish performed at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto. And it was in fact one of their first TV appearances. Next time the band would return to Canada in March 1991.

Some more close-ups would have pleased me to no end but great footage for sure. I have to confess...I would have enjoyed their Loverboy cover songs.

Great music, but the bubbles are kinda disrespectful to the interviewer

Michael Williams is extremely laid-back and if anything eating a banana while being interviewed is worse in my books LOL instead he had a laugh that they were able to eat regularly. Very empathetic interviewer and understood where they were coming from.
