This Video is a full 50-hour and 200-hour Full service guide for the Rockshox SID Ultimate 35 C1 Chassis fork with a Raceday damper. This is a very easy service, and I highly recommend you keep on top of the recommended service intervals
This video is all you should need to convince you to regularly maintain your forks and shocks. The fork in this video is relatively new but was obviously neglected. The lower legs were literally dry. The foam rings were bone dry, plus dirt had entered the lower legs, which did damage the lower bushings.
Folks, all that's needed to prevent this is a bit of regular maintenance. Just like you change your car engine oil (at least I hope you regularly do), change the oil and grease in your lower legs regularly. At least once a year. I promise you that it's a super quick job once you get used to it, and it provides the highest return on time invested when compared to any other service on a mountain bike
There are multiple versions of the SID forks, and though the service is very similar between them, there will be some differences, so make sure you verify the version of the SID fork you have
As always, if there are any questions, feel free to comment, and I'll try to respond as soon as I can.

Hi, thanks a lot for this excellent and detailed video! Just one comment from my side, after verification in the manual I think that the 10mm bolt must be tightened with 4Nm and not 6,9Nm. I did as you proposed but i'm wondering if this is fully aligned with the guidelines in the manual. As a side note it is quite a pity to find the service kits in europe, i don't know if there are well known resellers around here?

Yup! make sure you get the right seal kit and you will need the 32mm wiper tool, and you should be good! Let me know how it goes

Can you help me with that? My new bike came with a SID select sl code FS-SIDS-SEL-C1 that came with the "leg knob" whritten "charger 3 position" but with the "one lock" damper adjust on handlebar. Can i upgrade it with the twistloc ultimate 3 position on it? Its confusing because on the details rockshox page, it says this model is 2 pos remote comp (open/lock). Thank you!

Are you the original owner of the fork? Did the damper get upgraded as some point? If it now has a 3 position charger than you basically turned into a select+ 3 position, which allows you to use one of the following remotes. 00.4318.079.001 Remote - TwistLoc Ultimate Full Sprint Left 3 Position (Includes Cables, Housing, Left and Right Textured Grips) - 3 Position Remote Forks and Shocks B1 00.4318.059.001 Remote - TwistLoc Base Full Sprint Left 3 Position (Includes Cables, Housing, Left and Right Grips) - 3 Position Remote Forks and Shocks B1

@@zoubtube Yes i am the original Owner, bought the XC bike brand new and it came this way out of the box with the and with the "One Lock" handlebar damper adjuster. Its a very known brand down here in Brazil (Oggi agile pro GX 2023) and it comes with SRAM gx lunar groupset /tevel TL and SID Select SL(oem maybe).Good news for me I found a really cheap twistloc ultimate full sprint left 3 position to sell brand new down here and i am going to upgrade it. Thanks for the prompt feedback !!!!

is it ok to use Motorex 2.5w instead of 3wt?
@zoubtube
@zoubtube Ай бұрын
AFAIK, yes! but don't be surprised if the fork will end up feeling a bit different than with the 3wt. If you don't like the feel you can always go back
