I've been here several times, glad it's featured on your channel. For the Dan Dan noodles, I feel it can get better with some sesame sauce which many Dan Dan noodles come with, but I guess it's all depends on the preference.

She should start a youtube channel for even more exposure! There aren't many big female food reviewers, so its a nice niche and I'd totally watch!

Thanks so Much Steve for putting my mind at ease. Sichuan food have lots of hot peppers and pepper corn as flavor. I don't care for Hot. You and your guest didn't complain about the spice. So now I will try Sichuan food. It looks so good 😁😃👏

Thanks for the video! Also, how does one know whether a restaurant is highly rated? Is there a website to look at these ratings or something?
@RockstarEater3 жыл бұрын
Usually I get those figures from Google and Yelp ratings, which is the mainstream consensus on these restaurants. Sometimes I would also check critic's reviews too.

Since it's an authentic Chinese restaurant, most likely, yes.

Hey man, we tried that Sichuan’s food today and we were very disappointed about the food and it was one of the worst Sichuan food in LA, not sure how you gave the good review for this restaurant.

That Kung Fu Beef looks tasty.
@SA-ho2nw Жыл бұрын
Sorry. It was a fail for us. Ordered the exact same plates you suggested. They all had the same identical flavor. All I tasted was the baking soda used to tenderize the meat. As though it wasn't rinsed off. No spice just salty all around. This meal was a let down except for the dan dan noodles.

Thank you for the Szechuan restaurant episode but I didn't enjoy it that much with the blogger. It wasn't as informative as your other episodes. Look forward to your next episode.

It's really not up to debate in terms of who makes the best mapo tofu....it's a Sichuan dish after all, are there people that actually think the version found in Cantonese restaurants is better?
@thedude68103 жыл бұрын
looks like they tone down the spice there.

It was subtle but you took the chicken plate from her. Kinda like 'mansplaining' but for muscles. You're like, "your tiny arms can't hold the Chowquing chicken right, give it here roots."
@parlayin3 жыл бұрын
Its cool she appreciates the cuisine but she took such small bites and barely touched her rice so I'd be curious how much she actually ate. Regardless, the cheerfulness and enthusiasm I dig
