Roco Diesel-electric series 2200-2300 locomotive with RAG coal hoppers by Lima.

One of my new purchases, it was kind of cheap so I took a gamble and bought it from Market Place. The shell and handrails are plastic, but it has a good weight to it and an excellent motor. It will pull way more than I put on and is very quiet at the lower speeds. It also has a terrific crawl under load and by itself. I think it might be my only Dutch loco, just need some rolling stock to go with it.
The kit built coal wagons certainly have some age on them, and they are a bit rough looking. But they certainly good on the rails, they are very smooth. I have been meaning to do something with them, but have decided to leave them as they are. The chassis are made of metal and are a good weight. The chain link couplers work brilliantly.

That's certainly a little different. As you say, it's a very smooth and powerful runner. The Deltic looked a bit of a wreak though. I've no idea as to who made the wooden wagons but most unlikely to have been Kitmaster I wondered about Basset Lowke but probably not them either. They're pretty old I should think. Cheers, David.

@trainsontuesday Hi David, Roco make very good quality locos. This is one of their cheaper offerings, but it still runs great. As for the wagons, I've not seen them around for sale anywhere. They must not have been a popular option, or made for the devoted modeller. They do run very well though. Steven.
