I don’t know if comtempt is the way to go: but I think I recognize the extreme frustration of dealing with these sanctimonious tribal neo-McCarthyists, and their very spiritually empty religion and corrosively dishonest debating style. The part where I say "spiritually empty” is important. The centre of their belief system is not “equality” as they claim, but the rule of thumb that Britishness, whiteness, and masculinity are bad & unlimited immigration cannot be questioned. They think their opponents are the “hard of thinking” - but when they come up against an opponent who can handle themselves in a logical debate, they change the subject, rely almost exclusively on ad hominems, and generally npbehave in a way that gives the lie to all this nonsense about being for “hope not hate”

Total and utter common sense. A positive ending by Peter in regard to the USSR falling apart which I once never thought I would live to see, let alone in just one year. As with Rod I am very pessermistic about the future due to our our brain washed Adultchilds who never come into contact with old people now, as my generation did and even though we may have argued, I now see the sense of what they said. I now look back on my once very strongly hold beliefs about John Lennon, the Peace and Youth Movement and removal of traditional discipline in schools and how naive and unrealistic I was back then. On reaching 40 became a teacher and witnessed the madness and indoctrination of left-wing teachers on young minds which laid the bedrock of Woke. I wish I could go back in time, find my self and give him a good talking to about the realities of what life is, as oppose an Utopian dream I foolishly believe we could have. On an optimistic note, history shows (not taught in schools now) how socialists always fall out and feed upon them selves (ie Stalin and Mao Tse Tung). Every day we see the lunacy of their beliefs, as both Rod and Peter said about Martin Luther King being racist, these morons will do the same to them selves. Possibly Sparkle has done us a favour as such psychoptic and delusional belief in her own importance (taking on the Queen and her service over half a century) and she continues to get worse and worse, Adultchilds as they get older will wake up to what is going on. Hopefully I am wrong about them, and instinctive elements of decency, common sense and morality are laying dormant and as I got older and life experiences made me wiser the same will eventually happen to these Adultchilds. But I doubt I will live that long to see such 'hope' will come about.

The wokeness has now reached the London stock exchange having announce no new company listings unless it meetstheir 'diversity' quota's plus it is already the wokest stock market in the world with the highest number of BME's and women on company boards. It should be no surprise the LSE is the worst performing stock market among leading economies registering basically no growth in 10 years while the NYE s&p 500 and DOW have more than doubled. In the competitive cut throat business world companies ignoring the principle of meritocracy in favour of quota's in their executive board simply won't last long.

Go woke go broke. Diversity does not mean better, hire the best person for the job or the company will fail, simple.

Really enjoyed this interview. He speaks a lot of truth. Modern feminism is thinly veiled misandry, and I'm pleased to see so many women gradually turning away from it. Another excellent point Rod made is that there should be no such thing as "hate" crime. I've been against it from the beginning, because "hate" is a subjective concept, and we should want the police and courts to focus solely on the objective.

Liddle is great on much but here he has fallen to the vaccine fascism.

I agree but he's still employed by a newspaper so has to protect his job. We're in our mid 60's and won't under any circumstances be taking it. Our children are the same. The virus may be real but this was an opportunists dream.

99RedPills GoBy - Yes, very disappointing!! Even people who loathe Piers Morgan, but have congratulated his stance on 'Freedom of Speech' are, bafflingly, not seeing the irony in the fact that whilst seemingly championing the right to self-determination, Morgan has vociferously promoted mandatory vaccination! Morgan is from the 'rules for thee, but not for me' school of hypocrisy!!!

@@paul756uk2 True, I suppose like most things in life there's a balance risk/reward for him, similar to how it is for Hitchens. On the vaccine I'm going to wait at least a year before I take a ten month creation regardless of how sure they are about it.

Wonderful interview, but my single issue is that it was not a 'bloke' who took Tavistock to court and won. It was a woman who they mutilated.

Keep at it, it’s my favourite lockdown pastime. And I’m still amazed at their (the left) mass stupidity. Just for a dose of raising the blood pressure I tune into CNN or the BBC - completely cuckoo.

Rod Liddle is spot on. Always worth listening to. Wish he would stop smoking as we need him for decades to come.

Lockdown has pretty well ended in a large part in Cornwall, judging by the amount of traffic on the roads. The County bigwigs have initiated a building boom which is basically ruining the county. You can’t do that in lockdown.

Rod Liddle you are at serious risk of becoming a national treasure. I loved “Selfish Whining Monkeys” and when you said we are, as a nation at “peak wank” I knew I should pay very close attention to all your utterances.

It cannot be any coincidence that on the government tendering website they are looking for marketing tenders for coronavirus advertising up to 2023 so clearly the potential for in and out of lockdown for at least the next two years is there.

Anti-lockdown sentiment might consistently poll at 20% but that's what UKIP polled at for years, and then Brexit happened. Most people just go along with prevailing wisdom, or whichever ideas have most social/institutional cache (which are invariably leftwing ideas). Personally I'm proud to be in the minority, and I'll put the argument - that the damage done to the economy and society far outweighs the lives saved - against any consensus, any time, any place. When that easy furlough cash dries up, and the economy tanks, and the government enacts a decade austerity, I suspect more will begin to realise the folly of lockdowns. And then we will have a true reckoning with those who called for harder and longer lockdowns.
