If you want you can serve the tip with thread if there are signs of the rod blank was fractured or split from the tip breaking off. You also can fill the tip of the blank with epoxy. The idea of using hot glue is for changing the tip if it becomes chipped or bent from further damage. You can do repairs on the water or while fishing if you carry spare tips and guides. Old rods often had only uncovered thread serving for that purpose. All you needed was the hot glue stick and a spool of thread to do rod repairs. ✨🦉✨👍

oh cool james! welcome! I dont do alot of BFS anymore but I do have 1-2 videos on it. I just decided to take out the extra heavy gear and the extra light gear and stick with the standard bass fishing setups. Its what I do most and money or lack of prohibits me from owning "everything" ha ha. My wife would claim otherwise but anyway. Tight lines and glad to have you aboard.

Just a tip to add. Not all companies measure their guides from the same spot. Some measure ring size from the inside diameter and other measure from the outside of the ring itself.
