Can you after you record it, re-edit it? To re-Choose an other camera shot?
@rodemic14 күн бұрын
Depending on your editing software, you can line up the Auto-switched program with the raw footage and use the "Scene Cut Detect" or "Scene Edit Detection" for Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere, respectively. From there, you will have all your switching information applied to the separate camera feeds for tweaking to your needs!

Thank you for the video. Rode is my favorite brand because it’s truly user-friendly. This device is really amazing. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share a video about how to edit recordings afterward. Thank you!

Can you add a third mic (PODMIC USB) to a USB port and switch between 3 sources? From what you said I believe this is possible, but just wanted to double check. THX!
@rodemic5 күн бұрын
Hey Curtis! Yes, if you've got two mics connected via XLR and a third via USB, you can use the auto-switch function with all three 🙌

If you connected the Rodecaster video to the rodecaster pro two, can you get extra video inputs or only audio inputs?

I used the same settings for my own video podcast and i didn't even have results close to yours. I don't know if it has also sth to do with the setup of the mics - i have 2 pod mics - and i m thinking to use also - to see the difference - my 2 wireless pro mics. I have the same distance between my mics. Does this matter also? I dont know. Great watching your videos about rodecaster video.

I'd like to connect my TV to the Rodecaster Video via a HDMI Transmitter & Receiver - would that be possible? And will it record as another layer?
@rodemic6 күн бұрын
As long as it outputs as a 1080p HDMI connection, it should work just fine!

@@rodemic Cheers, I want the podcast host to connect his macbook to the TV wirelessly so he can control what videos go up. Will the RCV pick up the audio in this scenario?

If I want to use my Procaster 2 and connect it to a USB 4 or 5,, can I then use Auto-switching? Or can I just match USB 4 with one camera?
@rodemic4 күн бұрын
Indeed, you can select the main stereo signal of the RØDECaster Pro II as an audio source with auto-switching ☺️

please please please give numerical values to limit the min and max for a given camera angle, most 2 person typical interview podcasts are best with a miminal amount of the wide shot, in most cases not to exceed 4 or 5 seconds, in my tests even with the wide on low i can exceed 10 seconds which might not sound like alot but it is, would be a game changer for the auto switch feature.

We will pass your feedback on to our team - thanks for the suggestion, Andrew!

Woooooow I totally agree and came to make this comment. I looooove the auto switching feature but low priority means noting to the RCV. It will go to the wide(low priority)shot just as much as my tight (high priority) shots. So much so that I just don’t even include a wide in auto switching.

Can this be done using 2 iPhones as cameras?
@rodemic17 күн бұрын
You will just need to use the iPhone with a USB-C/Lightning to HDMI adaptor and you should be good to go! Here is an article that walks you through how to get that set up - help.rode.com/hc/en-us/articles/10861112048399-Connecting-Your-Mobile-Device-to-the-R%C3%98DECaster-Video-as-a-Video-Source

Why do you both have headphones? Why not just a speaker/monitor if you have an online audience or if just a stream, no headphones?
@404creators816 күн бұрын
Headphones help the speakers a maintain good mic habits. If you are too far from the mic or have other bad habits you can hear it in real time and make adjustments.
