Part 7: • Rodney Jerkins on Prod...
Part 5: • Rodney "Darkchild" Jer...
Part 1: • Rodney "Darkchild" Jer...
--------
In this clip, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins speaks about having a strong bond with Aaliyah after working together, and he added that she had a different soul than most artists. He went on to react to Aaliyah passing away at 22 during a plane crash, which Rodney says was the first time an artist he'd worked with passed away. He then added that they planned on working together before her passing, which you can hear more about above.

I cried when Aaliyah died. I’ll never forget, I was in Club Matrix in Cherry Hill, NJ that night. The DJ announced it over the speakers and we didn’t believe it. Finally heard it on the radio heading home and on MTV. Sad.

I was very much in shock and affected that whole weekend. I was at the Alicia Keys/Maxwell concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC. I kept hearing whispers outside the venue. People on their phone's saying..."Aaliyah was in a plane crash". I kept walking pass them, but I was watching them as they were talking! Very sad time. Very sad year!! 😪😪😪😪😪

Aaliyah was so talented people don’t know how good of singer she was i think she just preferred to sing softly because there was definitely power behind her voice
@cortezmiller1899
@cortezmiller1899 Жыл бұрын
Most definitely was power behind her voice. Even Micheal J Powell even said that, before she got with R.Kelly she sung in a full powerful like Whitney Houston’s. And he said that he heard her do things that the public never heard her do. I even read that Quincey Jones thought Aaliyah was Christina Aguilera, because she was prank calling him about doing something on her record or music wise. She was singing to him, but didn’t realize it was actually Aaliyah singing. Even Aaliyah has said that when she want her voice to be powerful it can be.

This could've been a much better interview but Vlad made it TRASH. Rodney was trying to reminisce on the good times and all Vlad wanted to do was lure him into talking about the plane crash like it happened last week or something. So why did Darkchild sound intrigued by the story then? Dude looked like he was being told the details of the crash for the first time, asking "did the pilot die too?" Nor did he intercept Vlad and say it was the Bahamas, not "some island in the Caribbean" and that they were flying back to Miami early after shooting the video for Rock The Boat. For someone who's worked with Aaliyah, Darkchild sure looked clueless regarding the details of her death.

Regarding the plane pilot arguing about the luggage and equipment being too heavy for the plane, Darkchild said, "Did he (the pilot) pass away too?" "....so how do we know he (the pilot) said that?" Darkchild was very much aware of the details surrounding Aaliyah's death. The reason Darkchild asked those questions was because he knows the truth about Aaliyah's alleged death. I don't know the details of Aaliyah's death but I have to wonder What is the name of the person with whom the pilot was arguing with? What are the names of the people whom overheard the argument between the pilot and the other man? How come the people who overheard the argument haven't been called to do any interviews? Or, Why haven't the people who overheard the argument volunteered their accounts via youtube or other media outlets? We have an "official" story of what happened to Aaliyah yet we have no names of the witnesses and no witnesses have given interviews. When people die in such a tragic fashion, usually reporters perform spontaneous interviews with on scene witnesses. Usually, there are names and faces of witnesses. Without names and faces of witnesses, there are no details. Did anyone take pictures or video record the police, firefighters or the various other people who showed up on the site of the crash? We don't even have video footage or verbal testimony from people who were on the island and overheard or saw the crash occur. Supposedly the pilot was not a certified pilot after all. Really? What was the pilot's name? What company did he work for? Who hired him? How was he able to fly a jet, (which takes a lot of training) for a celebrity if he did not have proper training and a license? And how come nobody has interviewed the private jet's company members? How come nobody has interviewed family members of the pilot? And how many pictures of the crash can you find? Who took those pictures? Some people suggest that Aaliyah was killed. I say probably not. It's not as though she was saying something or doing something that was disruptive to the "system" (as opposed to someone such as Pimp C). She was simply a popular singer who was part of "the system." I don't think Aaliyah died. I don't believe that other members of the plane crash died because I don't believe there was a plane crash at all. Where is Aaliyah? What happened to her? Why did she disappear? I don't know but I know too much about the media and faked celebrity deaths to believe that she died on a plane crash yet there are not witnesses and very little evidence

That also can be said about Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé and others. But Aaliyah had a powerful voice when needed. What we heard most on the radio, the records was her singing style, the soft low notes and her signature falsetto. And she has mentioned this in interviews.

Yes Vlad, Aaliyah died 20 years ago. It was a horrible tragedy. Why you telling the story of her death to this man like the shit just happened 5 minutes ago?? 🤔

Is it me or...is Rodney acting like he did not know what happened that caused Aaliyah's death? Like he's hearing about it for the first time. Makes me more believe there was more to her death and people in the music industry knows about it.

amorphous they warned her ppl that there was to much weight on the plane but they insisted and was already annoyed because they waited hours for the pilot to arrive. They insisted that everything had to come with them and the ppl ended up just doing it. If the pilot or airport stood their ground since in the end they have to ensure ppl’s safety then it could’ve been avoided. That was just a sad situation overall. Two ppl survived but died hours later from complications. Man that’s sucks...

@@cassandra5105 You dont even know who "they" are. "They" have never been interviewed or identified. "They" will say whatever they have to, to claim the least responsibility. Just because you recite, verbatim, what you heard on a BET special doesnt make it true lmao
