Long Live The Strange by Gaz Combes was great. This song had my mind running all over the place thinking of lyrics I'd sing to the tune. As always, Jools brought artists I'd have never ever found to my attention. That's the beauty of Later...happens every week.

Phenomenally talented these two. Proper hardworking musicians, doing perfectly what they’ve spent their whole lives perfecting. Best performance of the night by a an absolute mile. They just resonate off each other so blissfully. Predominately Spanish style but definitely with some added Irish flavour going through. I hear some U2 and Rory Gallagher style rhythms👌

Sad but at the same time the less they got coverage in Mexico the better. They're killing it here on Jools Holland and appeared in the cover of Rolling Stone France. As a Mexican, I don't hesitate to say Mexicans don't deserve all the magic these two are cappable to make.

I don't watch later anymore. Was an institution for me growing up. I stopped when every other song became 'urban' which to me is just box ticking identity politics and not meritocratic or the spirit of the show. But nice to see some real musicians still make it on time to time. Sad you ruined such an institution, though.
