I cannot comprehend how this man with this amazing voice and ability to write was not recognized in the 70's. I first heard him in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia at this time ... I was so moved by his songs I wrote him a letter which he obviously never received .... I have just seen the movie "Searching for Sugar Man" ... I never really thought he would receive that letter but I was compelled to write it... crazed hippie I was :)

the comments aimed towards rodriquez have a common theme of respect. This man is a prophet. No ego, no self righteousness, no anger, no lust, just a wonderful soul. Nothing the record companies or society really wants to buy. How sad ? I love your music and you inspiration by brother
