@toptiertech72912 жыл бұрын
Just because there’s a headphone jack doesn’t mean it’ll work well with high quality headphones. You still want a good DAC. Like the LG V60 had a quad dac. So if you really care about headphone quality then buy a used V60 for 1/4th the price of this phone. You’ll get better camera and headphone quality
@ALEC-01262 жыл бұрын
@@toptiertech7291 Yeah that's a good point. It does depend on DAC support. And these speakers are loud!! U won't know untill u take some other phone and compare it .. And for the screen part.. it's still butter smooth, I use it at 90hz nowadays but the screen at 60hz itself is too smooth and snappy... For cameras.. yes I agree it's not up to a flagship level but it manages to click great pics...it's not the worst and it's not the best either.. it does the job.. and as for video quality.. I've tried 4k 60fps and it's just beauty to take video in this phone.. obviously not better than other flagship phones but it's sharp and good enough to touch the flagship levels at the time when ROG phone 3 was released The size of the phone is indeed large but after some days of usage you'll get used to it and it won't feel that heavy anymore .. I still get security updates but Android 12 update is a bit delayed as it shows.. And now that I saw how ROG phone 6 is.. I feel like Asus are improving what was the first the problem of their customers in their older phone and making it better with their new phones.. big up to Asus for that..

It's a deal breaker for me, but I can imagine the price would skyrocket if camera performance were to be compared to a Samsung latest galaxy or latest iPhone. Sexy phone though... Thanks for an awesome review.

I have the rog phone 5 s pro and it has that feature. It gives me a graph on how well I charge my phone and you can set the max battery level to 80,90, or 100 percent. It also allows you to schedule your charging so for instance if you sleep you can schedule it to be fully charged at a certain time so that your battery doesnt degrade. It is really handy. Ive had samsung phones for all my life but decided to change it up a bit and got this phone which I am really happy with. Well one of the big reasons I switched is because samsung doesnt have the headphone jack anymore and I still use it sooooo lol.

I have the ROG 5 and I think this is just as good as any other flagship phone and I got it for $700 from eBay. 144hz, long lasting battery, fast and amazing display. I don't play games on it but anything I throw at it runs well. I'd say it was VERY underrated as a daily driver back then Edit: I'd also like to add that, at the time that I was looking for a new phone.... I was pretty set on getting the Sony Xperia 1 III which was priced at $1200 and wasn't even out yet. The only difference I saw between the ROG 5 and the Xperia 1 III was that the Xperia 1 III had wireless charging, 4k display and a much better camera. That wasn't enough of an upgrade for me for $500 extra so I went with the ROG 5. I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S7

@toptiertech72912 жыл бұрын
Depending on what you care about. What are you a graduate student in? Do you use your phone for school? If you don’t use your phone for school then it’s an irrelevant question. If you take photos or videos then this is a terrible idea. If you care about long battery life then this isn’t the best phone. It’s a gaming phone that honestly can’t take advantage of any of its specs because mobile games and emulation isn’t even close to pushing it to the limits. But if you just want an android phone and you like the look then get it.

Here's my 2cents on Asus phones: AMAZEBAAAAALLS! I've got my ROG 2 phone (12GB RAM, 2.96GHz, 6000 mAh, 512 mb) as soon as it came out in 2019. Before that, I've only used older cheaper 2nd hand phones. My main requirements were long battery life, lots of storage and fast response. These were the things that drove mad before and really created some anger management issues at times, and all of these things are now forgotten! It felt like I've suddenly entered into the future. I've got much much more, than I've initially wanted. 3 years and counting. Not planning to change it anytime soon. Every time I compare it to newest smartphones, the "innovations" are just not worth it yet! So far, only Asus has outdone Asus. Sure, camera isn't great. But for someone who has never used Instagram, only has FB to keep in touch with few people, and generally believes that moments are best kept in memory and not chased with cameras, whatever quality I get is enough for me. And I love the size and heaviness of my ROG 2. Love not having to charge it every day, sometimes even 3-4days. And gaming is as good as PC. This phone slows down only when 3% of battery is left. And still lasts for ~15min with that much, still while gaming! The real minus was the screen. About 1.5years into use I had it cracked on the stairs so bad, it went completely blank. When I tried to repair it, none of the shops had a replacement screen. I had to order it from china (~120euros), wait for about 2 months till it arrived and then had it repaired. Sadly, this summer I've cracked it again, but this time it's only a line of dead pixels, and even then it disappears, if I don't press on the screen to hard. For this beautiful creation a case is A MUST! Honestly, I doubt I'll need another phone for another 3 years. Maybe just change the screen again. That's how great it is! Edit: forgot to mention the lack of bloatware. Looking at you, Samsung.

@@juliancaesar4575 The fact that they don't constantly update their software on their phones is what make them last longer. New software, versions of android, aren't optimized to be used on older technology it is what essentially kills your phone in the end. I currently have the ROG 2 myself and it still works and plays games as good as it did when I first got it. The only thing that bothers me about it now is that it freezes up and doesn't record my finger movements, so I just have to turn the screen off and on again for it to become responsive again.
