GRVN what are you trying to oc? If it’s your GPU then you’re probably gonna have to get a software like gou tweak or msi afterburner. Cpu and ram can be overclocked in the ai tweaker which is the second tab in the bios. Also try updating your bios.

Was looking to purchase a board from Newegg tell i seen a review for this motherboard. Pros: None, didn't have the opportunity to even see it in action. Cons: I ordered this motherboard from them and out the box it didn't work. No big deal, these things happen sometimes. Issue a replacement, send it back. Wait over a week for it to ship back to them and then they tell me that it was "physically damaged" and because the damage wasn't specified in my replacement details, they won't replace it. There was absolutely no physical damage when we had it in our possession. We shipped it back in original packaging and wrap. Our best guess is that it must have got damaged (if it even was) on the way back through THEIR provided mail carrier and we're somehow responsible for that. I spoke with a supervisor and the fact that it came to us broken meant absolutely nothing to her. I'm out $130 on a motherboard I didn't even get the opportunity to use and they couldn't care whatsoever. Yah going to order from a different online site.

Amir Zainal I got the asus board replaced from Best Buy and I’ve been using it ever since, it’s great ! I overclocked my Ryzen 3600 to 4GHz and it’s never had any issues.

Really stable with R5 1600x and crucial Ballistix Sport LT Red 8GB DDR4-3200 UDIMM (I had set it to 3200 in bios and works on that clock since then without any problems,never had to touch it again). p.s. For uninformed ones,the only RGB feature on this motherboard is the ROG eye on the IO shield shroud.The one that looks like a RGB lightning on the chipset cooler is just a fancy sticker.BTW,it does not support 5V 3-pin addressable LED's.Only the 12V 4-pin ones (it has 2 of these headers and that's it)

A few things like Kingdom Come (with high to very high settings) and Battlefield 1 (with everything turned up) are somewhat playable but I'm saving those for a GPU upgrade. @@stephenmccain993 - Depending on your use case, for the majority of people, there's absolutely no need. 16GB is the sweet spot due to games (what most will initially build a custom pc for) are optimised for them, bays 1 and 3, or bays 2 and 4 to run in dual channel will minimise unnecessary RAM usage and run more efficiently. Don't put them directly next to each other unless you've got 4x sticks of RAM. Regarding the need for m.2 drives, it comes down to the case, and the feeling of bringing an M.2 drive to be mounted is horrific 😂 1 TB SSD's are available for £90/$ or so and are well worth the investment. SSDs are the most noticeable immediate improvement for sure, mainly due to boot times. If you find your RAM isn't working at its advertised speed (which it won't from stock) press F2/DEL when booting and adjust it in AI tweaker.

Hey guys this is about to be my first time upgrading my mobo and I have a couple questions. How do I transfer over my Windows license? Also, will all my pc files such as games & other applications installed on my drives transfer over if they’re saved on the drives? Or will I have to do some type of backup ? Your Windows licence will have your previous hardware configuration associated with it, but to my knowledge Microsoft allows for a little leeway when swapping out hardware components so I'd guess that you shouldn't have much trouble simply swapping out the board and hitting the ground running. That being said Windows can throw tantrums when major hardware changes occur, so stick to best practice and make backups of any non-recoverable data (Personal files and such). Anything that you can download again (such as your games) you won't have to worry about, just download them again. Might be a pain depending on your internet speed, but ultimately so long as you make sure to backup anything you don't want to lose it's not that hard a pill to swallow. To be honest though it's a good habit to get into to simply reinstall Windows every couple years at the least, so if you upgrade your motherboard it's as good an excuse as any to start with a fresh install. Just use the same licence key and you'll be grand.

you most likley will, check the manufacturers website for more info on overclocking capabilities but in my opinion going above 3200mhz wont give much more performance gains and it can be a pain to overclock, 3600mhz is probably the highest you really need to overclock to, however if you do plan on overclocking to higher than rated on your ram kit your cas latency timings may get worse and overvolting may be needed which can cause trouble with a few ram kits

the asus bios is very user friendly and looks the best out of any manufactures bios imo. as the not so proud owner of a 5820k x99 dead series....my path to amd is very clear now. Amd is just more efficient than intel now plus its up to par in gaming with intel. just cant beat this mobo and a 3600... jus saying.

Two cables are included for you to choose from, the USB option will allow apps to control it. I'd recommend trying ASUS first. IF you don't like the light setups. Unchain it from all the other RGB you might have in the app. Then use cooler masters software for the cooler. Lots of options and setting to change in the cooler master app. There is plenty of forums on the two options. GL

The VRM's are being suffocated by that big plastic over-cover. The MSI Tomahawk is holding around 20ºc lower VRM temp under full load on a R7 2700. This board is a good board BUT not for overclocking. The MSI beats it out every time for O.C.

I have a system with ryzen 5 3600x ASUS b450-f gaming mb Corsair vengeance 2x8GB 3600Mhz Ram Ssd 500gb 850w psu Fractal design C case Corsair H100i Pro Xt water cooler And some fans, My Ram is very new, and the orange light appears with both stick of ram in, and with this no picture says no signal…when I do one stick it’s fine and get a post bit I want to use both ram sticks, do I sell my current ones then buy a lower speed ram or what can I do… Also the RGB of the AIO doesn’t like up, the fans aren’t rgb but the actual pump is. How do I turn it on?

my rig is rx580 4 gig oc addition Ryzen 5 2400x at 4.2 boost speeds x2 m2 slots 512gig and 2 solid state drives samsong evo pro 500 gig and 16 gig 2400 ram I got all this at black friday this morning costing a little under 500 because my brother is giving me his rx 580 in i already had the ssd this will out perform my asus tuff laptop and i got a 144 mhz with radeon freesync

Why not?The socket compatibility is guaranteed,vrm's should do good if you don't intend to overclock.Just update the BIOS and you're good to go.It's NOT fu'kn' intel. P.S. before doing any shopping,do some research,see if somebody had already done it,and FIRST check if there is a BIOS update for 3x00 AT ALL!!!

I don’t think you’d be able to update bios through am3+ to am4. I had to use my r5 1600 to update to r5 2600x

Get this board.I got one and it's awesome,lots of features;like Intel lan,Q-LED troubleshooting,BCLK overclocking,Supreme FX sound.offset voltages,loaded BIOS/UEFI,LLC,pretty good RAM overclocking(running mine @3333MHz 14-13-13 1T).I'm running this board like 7-8 months with R5 2600(non x) @4050MHz at 1.25-1.3V.Not a single problem with VRM overheting @ ambient 24-25 celsius but,if you're going with 2700 or 2700x maybe look at some X470 boards with beefer VRM's. TL;DR If you going with Ryzen 5 get this one,for 2700 or 2700x I'll be looking for ASUS Strix B450 E-Gaming,pretty much same board with upgraded VRM,6+2 phases AFAIK.Or get ROG x470 F - Gaming,but it's not cheap.

@@vnani5812 You mean 4 pin 12V? What I meant was this board doesn't have the argb header which is the 3 pin 5v header. It only has two 4 pin 12v headers. If you wanna go for the board it's fine. For me I wanted to connect my argb fans to the board so thats why it was an issue for me hence me going for a different board.

What I am finding to be the Most difficult is the 4 pin AURA Does not Match my Cooler master AIO Nor My Case double ring led Controller ! I bought more Roswell Fans to replace the Cooler Master Fans. BUT Cant get the Heatsink LED to work with the Roswell controller. What a Mess !

Simply put, this works out of the gate. I have this board paired with the Ryzen 5 3600 (Not the X) and it worked with no hitches whatsoever. RAM runs at its full advertised speed after configuration through the bios and CPU/GPU clocks run great. The tomahawk, by complete contrast, was a shit storm. The one shipped to me did not have the correct BIOS and would've required a 2nd Gen Ryzen to update. Save yourself the hassle and go with the ASUS, not only does it look great, it fits perfectly in mid tower cases.

If you want the best overclocking capabilities possible, then the tomahawk is a go, but if overclocking isnt your main priority and want 2 m.2 slots and some great rgb then this is a great choice

@@matik200 not exactly, 2700x is better for streaming and includes an rgb wraith prism cooler that the 3600 doesnt have, yes the 3600 is better for gaming but those extra cores and threads you get with the 2700x can be useful in certain applications, it all comes down to what the customer wants

Mine supported it straight out the box, no need for a BIOS update unless mentioned otherwise. Amazon will have the batch listed as Ryzen 3000 ready which is what I opted for. Takes the agro out of messing with the BIOS
