I used to work in a bank. This guy either has no idea what a PEP is and the rules are when dealing with them, or else he is lying. A PEP is basically a person with power who you need to take extra care not to do them any special favours or give them any large gifts, in case it looks like you are trying to bribe them. You can still do business with them, it's just that your interactions may come under closer scrutiny. Also, these regulations were brought about to limit the actions of people like Sani Abacha and Muammar Gaddafi. They were not brought about to limit the actions of people like Marc Andreessen. Given how much the banks are willing to bend over backwards to give him and his ilk money, if he is still getting caught in the crossfire of regulations aimed at African dictators, that is pretty wild.

I also want to point out that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau isn't just there for huge fraud cases either. I had a dispute with USAA about a blemish they had on my credit report. They fought tooth and nail to keep it. I filed a complaint with CFPB and in less than 30 days they brought USAA to heel on my behalf and they removed the mistake. Not sure what I would have done if they didn't exist

Rogan really needs to stop inviting people who pay him to be on his show (and also have a raging coke addiction). That Andressen guy was sniffling harder than tRump Jr at a political rally in Columbia 😂

why dont these multi billionaires start their own bank to avoid Liz Warren debanking them?
@DK-lz7kg2 күн бұрын
No one should be debanked, period. If they can do that to billionaires, do you think the government would not do the same to working class people? (Which they did in Canada) imagine a future where the government can shut off your finances for protesting against the government or a war (like against Israel) please stop thinking 2 dimensionally about this issue.
@jamesdana12732 күн бұрын
@@DK-lz7kgI can't help but think there are numerous ways for billionaires to get around being debanked.
@DK-lz7kg2 күн бұрын
@@jamesdana1273 and? That’s still reinforces my point. They might get around it but the average person won’t. The government conspiring with big banks to destroy someone’s means of living and participating in the economy via finances is fascism.

This is why im confused when ppl say the left needs a joe rogan. Thats basically saying we should have shows specifically to invite ppl on to say whatever the fuck they feel like. I kinda also feel like we got a taste of that with champagne. When he would talk to certain ppl, he had no choice but to let them cook because he had zero knowledge to call bullshit on them.

Not just MJ sellers and OF entrepreneurs, but ordinary, that is to say, main stream small businesses like independent restauranteurs and artisans get flagged and debunked simply because their banking patterns happen to exhibit patterns similar to certain nefarious operations.
