Had to laugh. Isn't it the best feeling in the world to sit down in the car after such an epic trip. Toby looked absolutely bushed in zombie mode - staring.... You do know how to beat yourself up in location choice. Good work. Loved the honesty. Things don't always go according to plan... Hope the hammie comes good mate.

That was the final nail in the coffin, just realised I'm not up to hunting NZ! Never seen you so knackered, and your mate was worse! Good shooting and hat's off to the recovery. I tore my hamstring running, bruised all the way to the ankle, took a good 6 months to fully recover.

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Not a hunter, so didn't really expect to be as interested. I have mobility problems now and it's decades since I went bush but, l grew up on the West coast of the South Island and it was nice to be reminded of how gorgeous it is out there. When l was a child my parents had a country pub, it was in the early days of helicopter deer culling so, we had lots of hunters staying over the years on their way to or from. Have to say, I remember the taste of venison more fondly than the sight of it dripping onto the wash-house floor though. The guns look like they come from another planet compared to the ones l remember and would love you to talk a bit more about them. Great to hear you include your safety checks in the vid, as IMO, it's a good way to educate others as to how important they are and, equally important that people see that proper hunters do them. Also, just curious but, I thought modern hunting gear had moved away from straight out green and brown camo and, for safety reasons was now orange camo. Absolutely not having a dig but, just out of curiosity, l'd love to hear why you weren't wearing any orange. Great shot on both deer BTW. Was certain you'd missed the first one as l was sure l saw a puff of dust where the bullet hit the rock wall. Glad to be wrong as, between the cramps, the hammy and the walking you certainly worked hard for what you got. Have you ever tried any of the oral sprays such as Cramp Stop? They're supposed to be pretty quick acting. Anyway great vid thanks.
@rogeeproductions25092 жыл бұрын
Hi Niki, sorry to hear you have mobility issues that prevent from enjoying our beautiful bush. Firearm safety checks were drilled into me in the military so its only natural that I advocate that in my videos and ensure that everyone that hunts with me aligns to the same ethos and intent. Unfortunately not a lot of hunters have the courage to challenge their mates when it comes the safety status of their firearms and accidents have happen with the worst consequence. Camo and plain colours are still very common in the sport, you tend to see more hi viz in and around the ROAR. I don’t normally get cramp at all so it was very rare for it to hit me. I have a daily intake of magnesium as I pack train 3-4 times a week for hunting and this normally manages any potential cramp. I use to carry Cramp Stop all the time but found I was giving to my mates most of the time instead of using myself! 🤷♂🤦♀😂 Here is a link to what I do and why FYI kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJuvfaGcg76DfLc.....lastly thank you for your comments and feedback!👍👍👍👍

Got to admit mate, the NZDA were not much of an advocate when it came to us losing our semi autos, in fact they did fuck all and had no interest in RAMBO guns and offered no support at all, and how many NZDA members shoot each other in the bush over the last number of years, I wouldn't hold them up as paragons of gun safety and virtue.
@rogeeproductions2509 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your thoughts...I guess it's the ethos of what NZDA stands for rather than the actions of individuals and the politics associated with regulation change that I align with. I have attended a few meetings and Hunts Courses and can vouch for their approach to firearm safety
