Taking Bassem Elbitar's point further, I'll say, has anyone ever seen Federer out of breath even after a very long, gruelling rally, in which his opponent made him run from one end of the court to the other? I've never. One of the most beautiful features of his game IS his effortlesness. His movements on court are so well co-ordinated, so well judged, that he hardly uses any extra energy in moving around the court, scarcely ever breaking a sweat. It's probably his superhuman anticipation of the opponent's movements that give Federer the advantage of being at the precise spot, inthe exact physical position required to counter the other player's shot, in the process, expending the minimal of energy, and creating a very soothing visual. What a great, GREAT player!

His mental vulnerability against ND in big points in big matches cost him another ATP final. In terms of skill, beauty and elegance RF is ahead of ND and RN, however, in terms of mental toughness RF miles behind comparing to RN and ND.

I totally agree with you. I said it multiple times on KZbin comments (also probably in the section of this channel) but I would love to see a "best of" regarding Federer's 2013 season. As his body wasn't with him and he was fighting for the whole year against injuries, it's amazing how many strokes of genius he produced and how ferocious he was, all to make up for a bad physical condition. Really a very important moment for him to renew himself in the latest stages of his career
