He deserves to win Grand Slam and massively promoted the sport in Asia. There's only been a few players to do that like Michael Chang, Li Na, Nishikori and this guy.

Being athletic and doing splits doesn't mean anything in tennis if you're heavy footed, which is exactly what's happening in this match.

He stopped playing in 2010, not being able in 2009 to come back from a 1.5 year injury. This match did take place in 2006, after Srichaphan eliminating two players I don't know (Moodie, Ginepri), then Ferrero, Nalbandian, and Nieminen. Had to check that!

A true legend. There needs to be more players from Asia competiting at this high level to help promote the sport. He was still playing and top 10 back then and deserves to win Grand Slams but was in the era of Federer Nadal.

@@NamTran-xc2ip Really he wasn't top 10? I thought made top 10 one season. Okay he's at least top 20. Kei Nishikori was top 10. On the women's side they had Li Na, Naomi Osaka and Zheng who just won Olympic gold. All top 10. There was also Michael Chang who was top 10 but he played as American. But this Thai guy was the only one from Thailand. Basically there are almost no Thai tennis players. Tennis is a brutal sport and most countries in Asia don't have big funding to develop tennis players except for China and maybe Japan.

Robot Terminator 06 Federer, I was a privileged boy to watch tennis that year. I honestly believe the greatest hard court/grass court player of all time, if 06 Fed had a time machine to 2024 he'd destroy every single player on tour and win all 4 slams, and it wouldn't even be close. That year if 19 year old Murray and Nadal weren't on tour, he would have not even lost a single match for the entire year, that year he had a record 12 ATP singles titles.
