Yank here. I didn't know that the Mack trucks were popular in down under until I saw Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. I love those old Macks. Greetings from the U.S.

The best part of my youth was sitting along side my Dad. The first truck I remember was the NR Mack with soft windows it had a float behind it, she was Red and Black brambles Port Kembla company, followed by a B61 then a R600. Dad has since passed away twenty years ago, but boy those memories are all mine.

As a young truck driver, only two years behind the wheel, old blokes like this are inspiring.. all I’ve ever wanted to be is a truck driver, and old blokes like this are truly an inspiration to us young bloke that have a passion for trucks and being behind the wheel

like his son my best memories of my childhood was when i had school summer vacation and i was spending all my summer with my dad in his 1957 mack truck and i was enjoyed every second of that time . i was loving how my dad was shifting gears and how good driver he was which until he died he never had accident and he like roger was teaching me of that driving graft too . he was great dad like most hard working truck drivers back then which now i dearly miss him .

It makes me so happy that there are people out there keeping these old trucks running. These modern trucks just don't cut it as far as I'm concerned

I had the pleasure to drive with and have him in the passenger seat on a long haul from melbourne I shouted him a 6 pack and had a drink with him he is one of life's gentlemen he only gave me advise about my driving was to watch out for the highway patrol guys. Roger is a great man to be with and loves to pass on his knowledge if you want to listen. well done roger. stay safe old friend

The old trucks are gold, but the old drivers are priceless. I've sat here an emotiona wreck, so many of my old friends passed on. Myself forced to leave e the road after 30 years and the last of 5 generations of drivers.

They are so lucky that it was still sort of in one piece and they could get hold of it It could quite as easily been scrapped What a beautiful beautiful truck 😍😍😍👍👍 It is so hard to imagine 1000 kms of dirt road to Darwin and how many times he did it I’m sure that truck had 2.4 million plus miles
