This was a great episode, Mr. Fletch! I am as big into Peterbilts as y’all in Australia are into the KWs. When I was a small lad a Peterbilt was my “Dream Car” and I drew pictures of Petes all the time as well and I could spot one coming down the road a day away. I am thankful I was able to drive a Peterbilt 379 for a while. When I drove Over-the-Road here in the States I talked with another driver over the CB who was from New Zealand. He told me how he came up to the States during our warmer months to drive because it was winter back home where he was from. I surrendered my CDL since I went into another career field, but I have always wanted to drive an Australian Road-Train. I did own a KW 900 with the big Aerodyne Studio Sleeper for a while. It took me about two months to get it assembled and detailed. I ended up giving the KW to a friend. He liked to build models as well.

The greatest of all toys if you have the money An older semi I would love one just to put around in but unfortunately for me my pockets are too empty 😢😢😢

Don't see many of the old big cab detroit KW,s any more, most either got repowered for better economy or just simply faded away, always preferred the detroit to work on but the fuel consumption was their downfall in the end with the 60 series taking over, worked on many marine engines long after they disappeared in trucking
