@PhoenixAscending Жыл бұрын
I have said the same thing. They should have made a movie on him, instead of Barry
@davidsamuels9557 Жыл бұрын
@@PhoenixAscending Really. Barry Seal was the operative for the DEA's investigation of the Medellin Cartel, the biggest drug operation in the world. He took the photos of the Sandinistas loading his plane with cocaine. Seal was double-crossed by Oliver North, who leaked the photos in an effort to get Congress to provide funds to the Contras. One month after Seal was murdered, President Reagan addressed the nation. He used the photos that Seal took to make a case for Contra aid. Reagan did not mention Seal, who risked his life to take the photos. North sabotaged the biggest drug investigation in US history, so he could help Reagan politically. The 1991 HBO biopic Double Crossed, starring Dennis Hopper as Seal, has basically been scrubbed from the internet. I was fortunate to find one upload of the movie this week. Call me crazy, but I think Seal's story is pretty fucking important.
