I planted Two for the first time this year “ Bartzella “yellow and “Oochigeas “ salmon pink but they didn’t flower. I think it starts to flower in the second year. Greetings from Australia.

How many days does it take for buds to bloom? I planted Itoh Peony from a pot purchased at a local store. Have buds last year and this year but the buds are not blooming. It has been about a month and the buds just not opening up.

Are there any tree or Itoh peonies that have the same perfume as the fragrant herbaceous peonies I remember from my youth? All the Itoh I’ve smelled in garden centers smell awful!
