You are right; there was a custom-cut soft armor. I had one of those for a bit and got rid of it years and years ago.

I wanted one of these so bad back in the day when I was a young Joe. Never knew what happened to them or the company, but it definitely piqued my interest into the evolution of modern kit.

You don't add this video to the "plate carrier" playlist.

Had one of these a decade ago and sold it off a long time ago. Was pretty neat, but quirky as you can see. Also, the stitching for one of the mag cells came undone after only a few uses. I kept the double mag insert and radio wing pouch. The double mag insert still comes in handy attaching to carriers or velcro lined packs for extra mags, bangers, or misc. items. The radio pocket I repurposed into an IFAK dangler, combining it with the IFAK insert that came with my old Mayflower Pusher chest rig. I also used the radio pocket as an impromptu pistol holster insert for bbwarz at one point.

I’ve had one for a few years. Used to keep a spiritus micro on the front, but now I just like it as a slick option.

I had one of these way back in the day and also bought it from the TAG clearance section. Goofy little PC, sold it to a guy later. They also had a low-vis chest rig that had the same elastic cell cummerbund of the PC attached to a Y-harness that I bought and had a new cummerbund custom made for it. Blast from the past EDIT: 15:14 This was called the Rogue Gunfighter LVR (Low-Vis Rig) and the MOAB was a slightly more overt version with a molle cummerbund. Weirdly enough the MOAB didn't have the overdone shoulder pads and in many ways was actually much closer to what a modern Spiritus style plate carrier would end up being If I recall correctly those extraneous side release buckles on the back were in fact for the chest rig, it was just as wonky as it looks like. Really long straps for no reason

I actually had one of these back in the day! It seemed like it had so much potential to it. I remember being confused/disappointed when it arrived because it seemed like it needed other accessories to live up to the potential. Those accessories were obviously never released. I can’t remember if I had soft armor for it or not. I seem to remember selling it at a net loss. I’m probably an idiot for buying it in the first place haha.

I've had some old ABA soft panels with the TAG logo on them that never quite fit anything else ... I wonder if they are for this

Hey brother, I'm hoping you could help me out. I recently got a chance to look at an armor system from a company called Project 7, specifically the XPV. I was really impressed and really liked how quick it was to put on with the tube system but unfortunately they only sell to law enforcement/military agencies. So now I'm on a mission to find something that fits in that niche. Quick to put on, soft armor primarily to defeat pistol rounds, and has decent coverage. Does anything come to mind?
