@@CJMcFarland I receive my Rhino belt squat. I am pretty handy and I put it together easily. Actually I bought it want to modify it also. ( will explain later ) like I did with my RM390F what I want to talk about today is how strong you are. I did not realize that. I saw you lifting the main pulley post to take it to your garage. I could not even move it. I had to fabricate a kart with 3/4 inch plywood and some wheels that I had to bring it inside since I did not want to drag it. In any case. Perhaps one day I will be at your level. Keep it up. 😊

I was lucky enough to get a SquatMax MD at just under $1000 on Rogue's site. Better muscle activation than Rhino and the closest to an actual squat, per multiple tests. It's since been discontinued there and is now being sold elsewhere for damn near the same price as the Rhino because of some unnecessary upgrades. I'd go Rhino if there's anyone out there that doesn't plan on moving around.
@overachievetv383 жыл бұрын
Curious if you have looked at the studies as you mentioned where it shows the rhino does not work the posterior chain even close to a barbell squat, and is hard on people's knees, why would you consider moving to a inferior design now?
@jfra43 жыл бұрын
@@overachievetv38 To be clear, I won't be selling/trading my Squatmax anytime soon. With that being said, there's top vs side load, height of platform vs overall footprint, and limited vs unlimited platform (narrow/wide foot position). For some these aren't real issues and others the determining factor of which they will buy, regardless of the proven tests. I'm a fan of Squatmax and I'd love to see Brian make a killing with it. But why not a stripped down (Rogue version) make a comeback so people can afford it or don't want/need the extras? Just my opinion and not worth much lol.

I already own a titan selectorized lat pull down, a selectorized funcional trainer and foldable titan rack also a stray dog goat with all the attachments.. Do you prefer the squat max over the rogue rhino? I was about to buy squat max but they don't have any financing as with the rhino I can pay $1000 and the rest in 6 payments without any interest. I kindda like the squat max better because it's smaller than rhino and cheaper. However, it looks quite large compared to squat max??

@@CJMcFarland re: assembly time I'll say in my defense, a few holes weren't aligned for their screws so I had to drill new holes, etc. and I ain't exactly handy so had to figure out how to macgyver that stuff. But so far the thing is great! I got the standalone but ended up dropping it into my rack instead. Also I hooked up an archon pulley to a pull up bar and it's a legit plate loaded lat pull too, really pleased with the versatility. and the belt is great like you said!

It's crazy all the exercises you can do with the rhino it's a great machine. It's great at belt squats that's for sure. However, I dont know if I will buy it just for squats🙄 About the other exercises you can do on rhino I can do them on my lat pull down or FT, curls, lat pull downs, cable curls, low rows l, let curls etc. However, something ideally like about rhino is that i can turn it into a reverse hyper... I do have 2 buldging disk in lower back and love doing belt squats and reverse hyper should help my lower back too🙂 I iam buying rep pr4000 with ares.withing a month. I know as far as doing belt squats u can't beat the rhino OR squat max, however I believe I can mimic belt squats with a DYI belt squat system or with one of thoese leverage arm belt squats. I like the sorinex squat j squat. I know the angle it's a little different with leverage arm tha when squating with belt squats but for the price difference I think it's worth the shot?? I still like the rhino though. LOL Iam trying to convince my self not to buy it. Lol
@CJMcFarland2 жыл бұрын
LOL! I think all garage gym owners have this issue. I've seen a couple of people rig up a reverse hyper movement to the rhino but personally that isn't going to feel as smooth as an actual reverse hyper as the cable angle is going to be different than if the weight was on a pendulum. If you wanted to save a little I would say go with a cheaper belt squat like Titan Fitness. Do you already have jammer arms on your rack? If not, the sorinex J Squat might actually be pricey because you'll need to by the arm which will come out to over 1k. If you went the cheaper route with the titan fitness belt squat. You could also have enough left over to get the westside scout hyper from rogue.
@futbol19722 жыл бұрын
@@CJMcFarlandyea I think I made my dedicion🙄 instead of getting ares i will probably get the rp4000 with weigjt stack lat pull down attachment and a separate FT plus a scout hyper from rogue and will hold off on belt squat.

@@CJMcFarland how u doing bro. Still deciding now between squat max and rhino. Have u tried squat max md and do u prefer rhino? I have a bad knee and 2 low back bulding disk so i was wondering which one will be better as far as putting less pressure on knee? I like rhino but i dont think i will use it for anything else than squats/leg work and maybe for plate storage. I like squat max since its smaller and a little cheaper and i can do rows, hip thrust and other things however i need the pad. I think i will get the pad just for the hip thrust and seal rows even though i already have the goat. It looks like the squat max works very good for hip thrust, however i dont think goat works that good for hip thrust. Ive heard if i get some weigjts with grips or soacers its much easier on squat max. Also if i mout the plates right next to squat max to make loafint easier?

How do you think this compares to the squatmaxMD ?? The pulley system comes from below similar to squatmax right ?
@CJMcFarland2 жыл бұрын
I personally have not used the squat max md, so just keep that in mind. It is the same in terms of where the resistance comes from, but I'm not exactly sure the ease of movement, like if the rod will move with your body as easily as the rogue one would. It also is not as versatile in exercise selection as the rhino can double up as a low cable machine. Obviously you should be able to do some bent over rows etc, but your limited in other movements. The footprint is so much smaller and it is significantly lighter though, which is something that I wish was possible with the rhino because it really is a hefty piece of equipment.
