Thanks for the video! I'm thinking of getting this one for my short basement (73"). Not related to the squat rack, but do you run into height problems with the deadlift platform (i.e. does your head hit the ceiling? :D)

Thanks for the video. I have a powertec half rack, and I too like the open design. But to keep it stable you definitely need to have weight storage on the back, as I see you do....I do as well.

Can you incline bench with this? Worried the stabilizer bar in the back would get in the way and not allow you to push your bench all the way back.

and because of this video i ordered my sml-1 thanks to you.. but im confused thou is the ROGUE MONSTER SINGLE LEG ROLLER 2.0 would be fit and compatible with the sml-1? pls help..

@@FitnessNews24 is that because you have it weighed down? I have the sml-1 and I'm considering getting the conversion kit. I'd like to use bands eventually, but wasn't sure if I needed to mount it to the floor or a platform first. Thanks!

Would you suggest buy the Half Rack conversion immediately with the SML-1? I squat upwards of 4 plates so I just want to know your opinion on stability with/without the conversion.

You can get the same stability without the conversion kit BUT only if you use plate storage. Without the conversion kit the plate storage will be all you can add to the SML-1 so yea I’d get it at the same time

@@FitnessNews24 great stuff!! Purchased and on the way!! Do you have a video on how you made your platform for squatting and deadlifting connected and is it bolted into that platform? My basement is very similar to you and I want to duplicate this setup where you only have stall mats/plywood underneath your squat area (that also immediately joins to your deadlift platform)

@@mosestinio537 yes actually I do! There should be two separate videos on making the platform (super easy and cheap) and also why I removed the stall mats. One think to note is make sure to triple check how level your floor is for the platform. I ended up having to use shims to get mine perfect but would of rather used plywood 👍

Do you think that the openness of the squat stand outweighs the ability to safely use attachments. I remember my old SM-1 I started with and I would do weighted dips on it and it was basically like rolling the dice on whether or not I was about to die! lol. Glad to see your still happy with your gym! Keep it up!

Lmao yeah I have a matador attachment and without the plate storage on the side it would be like doing dips during an earthquake 😅

Is the HR-2 half rack conversion kit compatible with the Monster Lite SML-1? Rogue does not list the SML-1 as compatible with the HR-2 conversion kit.

Yes it is but just make sure you order the 70” posts - I’ve made a whole video on just this if you search back on the channel
