Glad you've seen it. It's an awesome episode where no one wins. Very female centric episode. Mystique is a master manipulatrice. This is actually an Avengers story, not an X-Men one. A lot of things happened before Rogue joined the X-Men. Carol Danvers had many incarnations after the Rogue incident, and she never forgave Rogue. Many great episodes ahead.

The reason Carol is trapped within Rogue's psyche is because of her Kree powers. I guess it's permanent even after Carol was free. It's not a spoiler, it's from the comics

This was a great episode. Growing up, not only did my dad have the old comics when Rogue was a villain, but the cartoon helped clarify things in a more simple manner so it was fun to compare.

I"m loving these episodes especially getting backstory on Rogue like I never knew it was this dense this epsiode alone was crazy lol also loved Gambits backstory too. X-men evolution dealt with Rogue issue of absorbing others power and memories, in short the ammount she gathered at that point was too much to keep it under control and they all took over as if having multiple personalities

My GT brother! As you and your wife continue to do the lords work with reviewing Xmen TAS, you coming close to the end of the season. When you get to Season 3, YOU HAVE TO LOOK UP THE CORRECT EPISODE ORDER FOR SEASON 3. There were some episodes that were released out of continuity order when the show air back in the 90s, and I think Disney + also has it in its incorrect order as well. So you have to do some research, so it is viewed in the proper order for your viewing pleasure with season 3.

I always loved this episode. My favorite characters when I was a kid were Wolverine, Beast, & Rouge. I was “in love” with Logan, and thought Beast was funny, but I wanted to be Rouge! I loved her sassy loner attitude, tragically awesome abilities and messy backstory. While I love my girl Anna Paquin, her talent wasn’t utilized properly in the Fox movie verse. I would be so excited if she got a chance to be the Rouge of my childhood during the Multiverse Saga, how amazing would it be to see a yellow & green suited Anna fighting alongside a yellow & blue suited Hugh!!! Like my Saturday morning truly brought to life on the big screen! Anyway, another banger of an episode and reaction! It totally sucks about the spoilers, hopefully not to much else is from here on out. Have a great weekend!

Ms. Marvel was a member of the xmen for awhile before rouge stole her powers while she was a member of the brotherhood. Eventually Carol got new powers and had beef with the xmen for letting rouge join after putting her in a coma for years. They eventual made up but it was on sight for years Side note this is what happens if she holds on to sumbody for 2 long she absorbs everything permanently

Maybe we will see a version of this during the Multiversal War in the MCU. It could be how they will introduce whoever is going to be the Rouge for the MCU. It could be an amazing arc for both Rouge & Carol. It would give Brie Larson a chance to flex more as an actress I think and perhaps exit the franchise on a high note like she deserves, imho anyway. There are theories we may get an Avengers vs. X-Men/Fox-Verse style movie before the end of the Multiverse Saga, Rouge cold easily grab Captain Marvel (Carol) during battle and hold on too long…etc…if utilized properly, just imagine the mature drama we could get with the X-Men, all wrapped up in glorious yellow spandex 😆
